A couple of days ago I was having an error pop up on my Xbox saying "Account could not be downloaded at this time".

Maybe try deleting the account from your Xbox and/or clearing your system cache. That might just do the trick. If not, contact customer support. Good luck man.

Must be an issue on your side. The Xbox Live Status shows the following report: http://support.xbox.com/en-gb/xbox-live-status

Have you performed our suggestions and cleared your system's cache? That will most likely do the trick, as it worked for me.
