Halo 4 Crimson Map Pack FREE!

As of 11:15 AM ET this works.

New maps just dropped. There's a glitch in the system.

1. Go to Games in your Dashboard.
2. Go into Halo 4, and view all of the downloadable content.
3. Look for the Crimson Map Pack, select it, and if it says it costs 800 then continue onto #4.

4. Launch Halo 4.
5. Go to the Halo 4 marketplace via the main menu
(Under Campaign, Infinity, Forge, Theater etc.)
6. A menu will pop up, you will not be taken to the dashboard.
7. The only DLC there will be the map pack. Download for free and enjoy!

*If it doesnt work, try restarting your xbox and repeating the process. I heard this works for some people.

FYI I got the maps for free not through the dashboard but in the actual Halo 4 menu. Granted these are BTB maps so they hold no competitive merit which is all I care about, but youre getting 3 new maps for free when normally you would have to pay 800 MSP so its a deal.

I bought the Limited edition so this was supposed to be free anyways.

But, I think the glitch occurred because the system was treating everybody as if they were "Limited Edition" users as well.

Yes you are correct. Everyone that played the game within the first 2 weeks of its release was recently given a code they could use to further specialize their spartans. (You could already do this because you bought LE)

So the system falsely recognized that as everyone having bought LE, which came with those maps, along with 6 others.

At the very least, you know your money was well spent because they will assure that this doesnt happen with the release of the next 2 MPs. Or so I would hope.

Maybe they will refund everyone who did get the LE with 800 msp or something. I wouldnt get it obviously but I feel like that would be fair to you and the others.
