Alright so I'm this thread to branch off of my anti-forensics located here: https://www.forumkorner.com/thread-252711.html

Anyway, this guide is going to be all about maintaining your anonymity online, I hope you enjoy it, and if you have any questions please feel free to leave a comment, and I'll get to it ASAP.

Operating Systems

Now lets face it, Windows based operating systems, and as well as OSX isn't the greatest thing in the world for remaining anonymous, however these two linux based OS's will do just that.

Whonix

Whonix is an operating system focused on anonymity, privacy, and last but not least, security. Whonix is based on the Tor anonymity network, Debian, and security isolation. It's been said by the creators that DNS leaks are impossible, and not even malware with root privileges can find out the user's real IP address. Now the interesting part of Whonix is that it consists of two parts, the first part solely runs tor and acts sort of like a gateway. The second part which is the Whonix-Workstation is on a totally isolated network. You can grab Whonix from here: https://www.whonix.org/

Tails

Tails is an operating system that aims to preserve your privacy, and your anonymity online. With tails you can use the internet anonymously and bypass censorship almost anywhere you go, also you can use it on any computer and leave no trace at all. Tails is an awesome choice of an OS as you can run it straight off a CD or a USB drive independently off the computers operating system. Also tails comes built with some pre-installed applications such as:

Tor browser with awesome built in plugins
Network Manager
Pidgin
Claws Mail
Liferea
Gobby
Aircrack-ng
I2P
Electrum
LibreOffice
Gump
Audacity
and tons more you can read about here: https://tails.boum.org/doc/about/features/
