I myself am not very familiar with this word, and I am fairly knowledgeable when it comes to English.

I would say you can get $5, maybe. Only because its short and looks clean.

On a side note my best friends last name is Lear, he'd prob. like this haha.

Because NOBODY uses it. I have heard it a few times through reading in English. Like the guy above me noted, if it actually means anything to anyone of course you can score.

Rule of thumb: if it wasn't taken it's not worth much.
