why ask for rep?? you will get rep by people liking you cant just ask for rep thats cheating im pretty sure lol. maybe im wrong though.

Reputation means nothing essentially. Anyone can scam, 10 rep or 1000 rep.
 
@Hobbs of course anyone can scam, but rep can help you tell if someone has done a lot of legit deals, and if someone is risky.

It's a guideline yes, it shouldn't be the only factor though.

Feedback is given if you are "friends" with someone or if you "liked" their post amongst other reasons. 
It isn't based upon trades, therefore you shouldn't presume someone is trusted just because they have a high reputation, which when it comes to trading means nothing.
Other factors should be looked at such as if they have a vouch thread, if so - how many vouches do they have? When was the last time they middlemanned?

I see too many people just trusting people because of "rep" and then getting fucked over. Common sense doesn't go amiss.

Anyway back on topic - OP hopefully you'll be back in the green soon.

Well I ignore them reps, just look for the 'good deal' sort of reps
