got banned from PayPal

So I called up PayPal cause my account got locked, and since it was my main I figured I could just confirm a few things and I would be on my way. Well, I call up, get put on hold while the rep looks at my account. He comes back, tells me my account is a huge security risk to their system and that I'm no longer allowed to use their services & that they are shutting my account down. I asked him why it could be a risk & he said he cannot disclose any information to me regarding this anymore.

Just thought I would share with you all because I found it pretty funny for getting banned from using PayPal for no reason, shit happens O WELL

Are you underage? Are you mainly taking payments in the form of gifts, and not services?

same thing happened to me a couple of months ago, it's annoying but there's always a workaround
 
That's not exactly no reason. Do you log into your paypal with other known IP's?
 
one time I signed into my PayPal from a Russian server on my vpn and it locked me out, I called and they told me they locked my account because someone from Russia logged in, the lady said you shouldn't use vpn's with PayPal. You mustve logged in from lots of different areas if you used a VPN.
 
Paypal just thoroughly investigated my account because I'm close to the maximum annual receival limit. EU money laundering regulations force them to investigate any account that comes close to the limit. Despite receiving more than $2000 the past few weeks, all as gift payments except 1, paypal cleared my account and removed any limitations.

Clearly you were doing something fishy.
 

Legitimately had $10 this month in it which was a gift payment, never a single charge back & disputes. Nothing. Don't understand how in the world that could possibly be fishy.

Maybe you signed in with a lot of different IPs or VPNs? Did you use real information for your account?

Nah I didn't haha, and yes I did use real information, it was my main one

Not on this paypal, on others though yes I did. I would have people send to a different paypal that way just in case they happened to charge back after a deal, it wouldn't affect my main account. This account though I had 0 charge backs throughout the time I've had it
