Hey guys, getting a car for my birthday, but i have to get subs on my own, anyone know any good subs/amps/head units to get? Thanks fellers

Look on amazon. Get the 4 ohm boss phantom 15s. They're 2500 watts each and the rms is 1150 each. And get the 5000 watt boss amp. All of it is about $300 but they're great and try to wire them down to 2 ohm if you get the 4 ohm ones

Amazon is the best for electronics, but also check; Craigslist, they can help a lot. Just try to listen to them first and always buy 12 gauge wire

Lol if you want quality don't buy shit off craigslist/amazon/bestbuy etc...

What's your budget and what type of use will you use them for?

I prefer the Italian B.M.T from Subway, imo its the best bang for your buck.

would these be better than two jackhammer 12s or 2 kicker l5 12s?

I don't really have a budget, and I'm using them in a car

I know, but I mean competition, daily use, stress testing, etc...

daily use, just to have when I'm driving

If you have cash to spend and want quality then I would suggest Alpine. I had 2 18s in my truck for daily use.

However, if you want competition quality try Obsidian or some of the older Memphis.

DO NOT BUY any kickers/pioneer/sony or any store shit for the best quality.

would two mtx jackhammer 12s Be good quality? I guess I do kind of have a budget around $300

Jackhammers are nice but not really the best quality, you could get the same sound from some kickers. Just paying for a name honestly.
With a budget of $300 try looking around for some sundowns or Memphis.

If you can't get lucky then I would go with the Jackhammers. But just keep them in mind as a last resort.

okay thanks man! it really helped

would you say the jackhammers have better quality than kicker L5's?

I'm not really a fan of Kickers at all, but it's really just up to your personal preference.

I personally hate kickers and think they're overrated cause they can blow really fast sometimes. Also you might wanna look into cerwin Vegas, they're older but hit hard. Older subs and amps can hit harder than newer ones depending on the brand and wattage. And the box can make a difference also, in my opinion I think sealed boxes sound better than ported boxes. But do some research, ask around, and don't rush your decision

I love MTX and punch. I would say this are my two favorite but I haven't hurt the jackhammers before and if you get kickers make sure they're competition ones. They're way better. But everything is your decision and basses off of your preferences

hey I was looking, I have to get the whole setup for my car, and the jackhammers are probably the best I can get for my budget. do you know any good amps that would run them and any really nice touch screen head units?
