Im going to have to run a Developers version of Bukkit so that everyone who has updated their Minecraft can play
It kinda sucks that they didnt realise the 1.0 version of minecraft server when they released the 1.0 version of the game.

yes i wont be playing on the server until its 1.0.0 and also is it survival or creative?

Its going to be survival so people actually have to play the game.
Ive got a few ideas and will post them in a seperate thread.

I thought you would have figured by me talking like I was lol.

Ive reset the world like 100 times just trying to find a good world, now ive found a plugin that will let me change the spawn location everythings ok.

I dont know if I want to reset the world or not Carolus :/ Not sure if I like the location and lanscape

well the maps are so big can you not use the creative mode and fly round looking for a good spot then make a spawn location on it or use a seed

You cant use seeds and I spent ages looking over worlds, but I havent been satisfied.
Im looking for flat land with a huge hill. The idea is to build a huge city.

World edit? be the easyest method to get flat land or you can just get everyone online and flaten a load of land as a team then build the city an the hill well i dont know so i would say find a hill to your liking then flaten the land by hand or world edit

You can build anything with worldedit, you can make brushes and raise land like Sims, but I flatted a bunch of land before but as soon as you broke the first few blocks there would we a cave with a flat top.

I dont know, i need you guys to come onto the server and approve the world and edits I make so we can get going
