Alright so I thought I'd post this just to put it out there and I felt like it might be a topic that could invoke conversation, or help any of you who are either no longer attending school, or considering dropping out, or whatever. Regardless here it is.

So I'm 17, I SHOULD be a senior in high school this upcoming schoolyear, however I took a year off. I honestly didn't think I'd be going back to school at all, but I'll explain why I am further in a moment. The reason I stopped going can't really be defined to one specific, between teachers who I didn't really care for, offering after school help but never showing up; the feeling that I wasn't being graded fairly ( I failed to do homework, yet got A's on all in class assignments, essays, projects, quizzes, etc.) And still managed to fail or just scrape by.

I decided over this summer that I wanted to return to school, I knew this meant I wouldn't be graduating with my friends, I knew I probably wouldn't LOVE every second of it, but something inside me knew it was important. I've always dreaded the thought of waking up and going to school, literally always. Like, since I was in kindergarten always. But something's changed I think, I'm actually eager to go back. It's going to be the school I used to attend, so I already know my way around and most of the people there, so it shouldn't be a HUGE adjustment.

When I was in high school, it was good but I didn't try my hardest which I regret. I took a year off after i finished my senior year and I tell ya, it gets pretty damn lonely. I missed school a lot. Socializing, learning new things, and just seeing people in general. Thinking back, all I had was one main job, and that was just to be a damn student. Imho you should graduate and go to college.

Dropped out 2, almost 3 years ago. #fuckschool

I've realized how important a college education actually is ion todays world, while it isn't required for the field I intend to pursue, it's a HUGE advantage. As I intend to become some form of graphic designers, whether it be freelance or through an agency, a degree in the field would make it infinitely easier to land clients or a job at a respectable agency.

I just graduated this past year, not going to college, going into the airforce. You should finish up your schooling because you need it for almost anything now.

It's good that you've decided to go back. It might be hard not graduating with your class, but it's better to get it over with.
