Anyone here blow glass? Or kknow anything about it? Me and my friend were thinking about taking classes and buying old gear and start making small bongs and pipes for people in my area. Sell them for money... Nothing to complex just simple.

That's a pretty cool idea man, iv'e never tried it but i'm pretty sure it takes years to get good at it.

I don't expect to be amazing. I just want to be decent. lol

Yeah true, it's an awesome idea though, I would do it too if there were glass blowing classes where I live lol. Good luck with it

it involves lots of equipment i believe, saw a video on that shit. Looked pretty precise, involves really hot temperatures so if you fuck up you're probably going to the hospital.

I watched a documentary on it on Netflix awhile back, the final results can be astonishing.

I can't remember at the moment but if I stumble upon it I will let you know.

Their is a beginner class in my area for around $200 I think. Or at least that is what my friend told me. If I do end up taking the classes I will definitely make an experience thread. :p Thanks for the video link btw.

Hell yeah dude that's easily money extremely well spent. I imagine if there's anywhere around Chiraq I'll try to get into a class or two if they're semi-inexpensive like that. An apprenticeship to where I could become like a master glass blower, and do it as a profession would be like an extremely awesome score because I have some pretty cool ideas for some glass... & np. I seen a thread I was interested in, glad I could help :)

I'm fuckin telling you bro ! knowledge man. learning that art would be so dope.... you know what you hardly ever see?

symmetric pieces/flat glass without curves, like.. imagine having like a bowl, that looked like a shard of glass, that wouldn't cut you.. that you can smoke out of.. that'd be kind of tight.

I seen a bacon pipe once. similar to something like that if you can find it on google images but yeah. I'm glad you enjoyed :D

I had a friend that made several pieces back in the day. His whole family was into the glass blowing trait. He showed me some of the basics of making decretive pieces. To my knowledge, glass blowing is typically not a trait you just jump into. I say this simply because I experienced the difficulties of being a novice first hand. However, there are beginner kits you can purchase containing all the essentials. All you'd have to do is perhaps take a few classes at a local art school or seek internet based tutorials. I admire your new found business venture. There is a growing market and if done correctly the trait can be extremely lucrative. I wish you and your friend the very best of luck.
