Getting better at graphics as the days go on.. Here's what i started out with and then what i was going for...



Tell me how i did

The first one is off of one of my favorite songs covers.. Can you tell me how i kinda blur out some of the background on the first image.. So it's like blurry around the face?

Try using a small eraser with hardness of 0% and touching up the edges.

Just did, but how do i like blur out the back ground a little bit?

Like the outside of your sig, but behind the head, but at the same time infront of the background of lights.
 
just erase the bg layer the same way you did with a soft eraser
 
You should learn to use the masking tool if you don't know already, and if u have to u can feather the trace so theres less choppiness on the edges before you cut the head off and paste it over that other pic
 
The 2nd one, the render doesn't really go or flow with the BG tbh, but not bad
