You are right some people just like to use the website, and not contribute in anyway to help keep the forum up and running.

It's no different than someone using you to fuck your sister. Rather than being a real friend they fake it, just to get in your sisters pants.


Regardless you can thank the little faggots that have been posting gamertags they don't own attempting to either scam, or get the gamertag they post banned by reporting the thread they posted.

They are in fact contributing by posting their tags. You say a main pro to this site is it's tag section, yet you just destroyed the activity by what, 40%?

There are upgraded members that pull the same shit man... In all honesty i like the idea to an extent, but i feel that you should still have some more active mods / staff patrolling the more active sections of the site...
 
This will either be a huge success or a huge failure. It's a risk I didn't think you needed to take in my opinion, you could easily add different rules to regular members posting threads. Gamertags seems to be the big drawing factor to why people sign up here, removing the ability for your most important member (the regular member) seems like a silly thing to do. However, you could receive a ton of upgrades and become very rich, so who knows.
 


But why not make it to where they have to have xxx amount of post / rep and be upgraded?? If some one joins to sell . buy gamer tags they are using the site and not contributing to it. Who cares how much the owner of the site makes, as long as he keeps it up and going and active... Ya some free members might lose out on sales for a while until they realize the huge opportunity to sell tags here, then they'll spend the 5 bucks (or more depending on upgrade) and make profit off of it while helping this site stay open, active, and running.
 
Rofl, this is the worst idea you've had to date Philly.

The only reason anybody comes here instead of HF is because HF requires people to upgrade in order to post in the GT section, with you implementing this same rule you have just dropped the value of this site.

Who would upgrade here over Hackforums? Nobody.
 
I am going to have to side with Philly on this one. Look at it this way at the people who are complaining about not purchasing upgrades, you will make your upgrade money back plus more. I forgot who made a thread, but I think it was Kill and he said he made $400+ and only bought $15 worth of upgrades (something along those lines). I seriously don't understand how some people can be cheap. I understand some can't afford it, but don't complain about it if you can't afford it. There are so many ways to earn money. Just my two cents.

Don't piggy-back my post to try and publicly vent a vendetta against Philly. I have no issues with Philly and don't want my post affiliated in that way.


Firstly, some people have no methods at all to spend money online. Secondly, this sites drawing factor is the gamertag niche, if it becomes a premium-only thing then it opens up a huge chance for some other forum to capitalise on it and push FK to the side. If you're going to offer premium members marketplace benefits, then open a second section for those like HF has does.

It's like me charging wrestling fans to make wrestling threads on my forum, it would be silly.

Look bro, if you are that closed-minded go ahead and leave. You are aware that it helps the site and before you go telling me that it goes right to Philly, it doesn't. He has to pay a good amount of money for dedicated web hosting. it's and upwards of $250. Like I have said before, you easily make that money back and you get some other sections and get to rep.

Well, was it my choice? They can always contact them through PM. I mean seriously, it's not that big of a deal. It's more of a premium market it now. Did Philly ever say that you cant contact people through PM or other chat systems ie: Skype and Aim? I didn't think so. I am glad he did it and judge me how ever you want, I really could care less.

There is no hoping about it with the way the newer members have fucked the market up yet again lol
They come here, buy a tag like per say tranformations for 300 fucking dollars... The other new members decided to buy more shit tags too for 300 dollars and that boost the cost for every one....
This will not only help with price gouging / inflation but also keeping the market forum clean of shit tags lol

I mean if someone comes here with the tag (again just an example) Razor... they will sell it for 500 easy lol so is it worth the 15 to upgrade?
