I am currently getting into Gamertags and I have a question about spaced tags.

Fill this out by what you think each one is worth. Not sure if the last one is worth anything, just have no idea about GT markets.

Code:
Example = ???
E x a m p l e = ???
E xample = ???
Example v2 = ???

Thanks

Just an estimate.

What makes a spaced tag so valuable? Does it look merged or something?

If a tag is spaced, generally, unless it has a v1, then there can't be a tag like it unspaced, for example if I had the tag "b ake", no one could have the tag "bake", this is excluding if "bake" is a v1 tag, and if it does have a v1 then you can swap the tag once the v1 gets reset. Hopefully that made some sense haha

If I had "e x a m p l e" and you had "e xample", then who would get the v1?

Example = $250-$300
E x a m p l e = $130-150
E xample = $110-$140
Example v2 =wtf

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but if there are more than one spaced versions of the v1 and you try to change to the v1, you'll lose the tag. You can only get the v1 if there is only one spaced version of the tag taken. Hope this helped.

There would only be able to be one spaced version of the tag in the first place

Lastly, only that person with the spaced tag can switch to the non-spaced or can anyone.

You can only have 1 spaced tag of a non spaced tag.

Only the person with the spaced tag can and also V1 resets aren't a common thing V1s get reset randomly

Not true, no one can, including the person with the spaced version. The person with the spaced version can change their tag to something random, making it so anyone can grab the unspaced version, and then they can grab it for themselves.
Basically I couldn't just switch my gamertag from "e xample" to "example" once the v1 is reset, I would have to change it from "e xample" to "random tag here" and then to "example"

And @"Jamil" sorry but for some reason whenever I try to reply to your post it says I'm blocked from fk, not sure why. It's annoying because I had a whole message typed out that I can't post. It's not even letting me pm it to you, this is stupid. Hopefully what I said above will suffice as an answer then.

Lastly, how will you be able to tell if it was reset?

Just keep checking to see if there is a gamertag "example"

Like someone said, resets can happen anytime, so you could be waiting for years.

You'll have to search the v1 on Xbox.com or send a friend request, and I'd nothing comes up, it's been reset.

I mean if you have the spaced version of the tag (there can only be one spaced version) and the v1 is reset, essentially the unspaced version of the tag can easily be yours, you just have to be discreet when changing your tag to something random, and then to the unspaced version so that nobody turbos you.
