But right now I'll say that the real cancer of hummanity was money.

And that helps prove my point. Those people use the excuse of religion. Their religion definitely doesn't say to kill people or fight with people that don't have the same beliefs. People kill people. This is just like people saying guns kill when in fact the people using the guns kill.
I enjoy conversations like this because they make you think.
That is a story in the Bible. Not a command of what people who follow the Bible must do. Apparently, this was the first public offense against the newly revealed law of God. It was, essentially, being tested. Therefore, the severity of the punishment was to demonstrate to all of Israel the necessity of obeying the Law of God.Adam said:deathcrow said:Steven Magnet said:*Cough*

Actually it does. I'm not sure what passage in the bible it is but "God" order Moses to have the people stone someone to death who worked on the Sabbath.
There are no "religious extremists". They just interpret the bible different from other people. The Westboro church(the church in the video) is doing exactly what it says in the bible. Christians just interpret it differently.deathcrow said:That is a story in the Bible. Not a command of what people who follow the Bible must do. Edit: Also, I don't know what your statement had to do with my previous statement. When I said "their religion" I was talking about Islam since you put a picture about 9/11....Islamic extremists which is completely different from normal people of that faith.

Religion is based on following and obeying everything the Bible says. You cannot filter out the bad and only do the good. If you do, you are sinning, therefore going to Hell.

That's not what I believe. And also why do you keep saying bible when referring to religion. There is more than just one religion, and who is to say which one is right. I'm a Christian, but people can believe whatever they want.

All the books are the same shit.

Either way, like the person said above me. I don't hate against the beliefs of others. If you are Muslim or Hindu, etc...that is fine. If you don't believe in a God that is fine too. I'm not going to tell you that you are going to go to Hell or whatever. I'm happy with my life and with what I believe, you should do whatever makes you happy as well. But don't ever think you are better than someone else because of what they believe versus what you believe.
No reason to hate on others because they believe differently. Isn't that what Atheists always say? Something like "Christians shove their religion down other people's throats and condemn you to Hell if you don't believe the same as them." No need to be a hypocrite and hate on people of faith.
