1. Best userbar I have seen on the site, and there are some nice ones. If this is @Astro 's work, kudos to you brother.
2. Are there formal applications (since recruitment is open)? Or, how does that work? I'm confused.
Solar said:If you'd like to submit a a formal application, feel free to do so. I wouldn't, though, as I'm currently trying to keep member count to a minimum. I may be willing to reopen recruitment in the near future, though.

I believe that there is no official application form. Solar is simply looking for top quality users. Stand out to him or other members of FOOL and we will take your position into consideration.
Solar said:I couldn't have stated it any better myself.
Astro said:What can I say, I was once co-leader.
Also, I'm digging your new avatar, it complements mine very well.

Solar said:@Crux decided to turn it into a .gif. Are you not a fan of it?
Astro said:Not really. The quality is ruined and I made it specifically to suit both themes. The group and thread is yours so do what you will, that's just my input.

My real name is Will. I joined this forum on 5 December 2012, in hopes for better membership/msp deals and gamertags. ForumKorner was the first forum that I have been a part of, and, to this day, it has been the only forum that I have, truly, been a part of. Since then, I have been all around the forum. I love philosophy, and dwelling into what other people think about things. I don't post as much as other members do as I see it is pointless to post unless it's necessary in some way. I am always aware of the public ongoings on the site. Most of the time, I hop on to check any updates, post if needed, and get off. I believe I have the ability to bring to FOOL a strong representative of maturity. I believe I can, honestly, make a difference to such prominence. I have many different qualities that I believe FOOL, along with its members, would find very appealing. I have seen practically every single quality movie. I am an avid sports lover, and a Grammar Nazi. I am extremely fascinated by space. I have very many accolades in math, and I am a very quick learner at everything I wish to do. I, indubitably, believe I can bring the group a high-quality, well-rounded member.

As you may have noticed, my signature has said I am majoring in psychology. I am going to admit this is not true, I am simply minoring in psychology, and so far it is going well. I do not wish to pursue a future in psychology, but rather a future in engineering. I will most likely end up getting a associate degree in psychology, rather than a bachelor's degree. The reason it says major, instead of minor, is because I want the community of FK to know that I heavily value psychology. As well as the fact that I am always willing to be of assistance to anybody in need. I have had a difficult past. I am, and have been, doing everything in my control to make the lives better of as many people as I can.

Gentlemen... I have spent months building up to this application tonight. I have the honor of owning a river of high-quality posts, and it has, and will, bring me to the ocean. That river is now flowing at just shy of five-hundred posts and I have received the upmost heartwarming reputation. Throughout the forum, you have seen nothing but quality and maturity from myself, so, gentlemen, if I say I'm a respectable man, you will agree. Out of all men that beg for a chance to be a part of this renowned group, maybe one in hundreds will be a part of FOOL; the rest will simply be speculators. Even if you find one that has money and the means to be a great member, he'll maybe know nothing about maturity and honor, and he'll bring nothing but disgrace to this prestigious group.

"You've been putting it up your whole life, you just didn't know it."- No Country for Old Men (film)
There is the undeniable truth that choice is inescapably intertwined with chance. The choices you make, no matter what they are, still don't guarantee a certain result. Every choice you make eventually leads to your death. It's up to chance to how quickly that occurs. Therefore, I live every day in the best way I can will to do.

I am, as a person, built off my experiences. Everything that I have experienced makes me wiser. I don't ever try to forget; I always try to learn.

"I don’t know how many of you have asthma today, but if you ever had an asthma attack before and you’re S.O.B. — you’ve got shortness of breath — and you’re wheezing, the only thing you’re trying to do is get some air. You don’t care about no basketball game. You don’t care what’s on TV. You don’t care about no body calling you. You don’t care about a party. The only thing you care about when you’re trying to breathe is to get some fresh air. That’s it. And when you get to the point where all you want to do is be successful as bad as you want to breathe, then you’ll be successful." - Eric Thomas
Eric Thomas's speech, here, is one of the most inspirational speeches I have ever watched. I think everyone on ForumKorner should watch that video, if they haven't already. Success is a thing not very many people have. But that's because not many people want it as bad as they want to breathe, which by all means is not an easy task. It's, in fact, so difficult that I believe it needs to be gradual. I have dropped so many key characteristics of human life during my attempt of success. Every day, I'm trying harder and harder to succeed, and be the person I would want my child to be.

Here is a short story I just wrote using only one-syllable words. It is very difficult actually. I won't post in the thread because I don't want this application to fill everything. Yes, chasm is one-syllable.
