freaking out

My bro is out so I went on his laptop to go on facebook while watching a movie (I don't have a laptop yet). His internet explorer is messed up cause it randomly pops up windows which if you click are viruses. So I was bumming on fb and went to click, and it popped up just before I clicked and it gave me the bogus virus warnings and started "scanning" my comp. I held down the shutoff button until it did, but now when I startup, after about a min, it gives me the blue screen of death. So now I'm sitting in my bro's room waiting for malwarebytes to finish scanning in safe mode. I'm freaking out cause if my bro finds out I was even on his laptop he'll be pissed, let alone that I might have destroyed his laptop. Arg, any help?

Your doing the right thing. You a member of HF? Good place to find help there. I get it all the time.

I'm a leecher of HF, malwarebytes picked up nothing. I started in normal mode again and nothing happened, nothing bad. I went on internet, tried going on google chrome and internet explorer and nothing bad! Heart attack is leaving, tbh I've had this before, for some reason it randomly goes away. Maybe cause it's toshiba? I'm kind of scared that it's going to come back when my bro goes on later.

fucking leecher... >.>

anyways, grats on getting it patched up *pictures a big bandaid on the side of the computer*

I can help you (3 years of white hat experience)

Does the program appear to be an anti-virus? If so, what is the so called name of the program?

Also, are you able to connect to the internet and browse without interruption?

I'm able to browse, it was loading and I shut it down fast as i could. I'm now on the laptop typing and I pmed the log dyker said to pm, so it's looking good, BSOD is gone and I'm getting the final things looked at. Again, maybe it was just the Toshiba?

Unlikely, I have a Toshiba Satellite and this has never happened to me. If the problem persists, google is your friend. Google is the reason I got to be fairly good at malware removal.

Ya well it's looking good for now, I really only posted this to calm myself down. I need to save for my laptop this year and buying my bro a new one would not help me. K well thanks for the help guys!
