Introduction

So you are visiting the Buyers Market as either a buyer in need/want of a specific item, or a seller looking for potential customers. Either way this forum is very useful for either of the above reasons. In this guide I will cover the basics of, not getting scammed, find the right product or service, or find the perfect potential buyer for your sales.

[Buyer] Before you post

Posting in the Buyers Market is very useful. But sometimes completely unnecessary! We have forums around FK, a lot of them! We go deeply into sub-forums even too. In fact until today I never even knew the sub-forum Game Cards existed. Looking through these resources will be incredibly helpful and to be honest, a must.

The next thing is utilizing Google's ability to filter searches according to website. We can do this by adding the parameter site:forumkorner to any Google search. For example if we are in the market for some beautiful graphics, with a low budget, we can Google: "affordable graphics site:forumkorner.com"
This is the result

[Buyer] Avoiding scams ⚠

Throughout ForumKorner there has been an immense amount of successful buyer:seller relationship. Often however, scams do occur and can be tragic. From personal experience I will tell you how to avoid these by taking simple steps!

1. Background Check!
always perform a somewhat bulky background check on a new or shady member. Sometimes even experience high status members may have a scam report open so check these sub-forums! Known Scammers Scammers Bay. Do not forget to look at their reputation as well. See tons of -5, -10 "Shady user DWC"? Well DWC = Deal with caution so once again take caution in these members.

2. Middlemen
I am a member who refuses to use middlemen. Earlier in my ForumKorner career this did not benefit me so much, now that I have built up my reputation with lots of successful deals it has improved. But unfortunately we were all at the point where we had to use middlemen. And to be honest they are actually very fast and trustworthy if you get the right one. Here are some perfect hand-picked recommendations.

@"Leader"'s Middleman Service (PM Him)
@"Philly"'s Middleman Thread (Click)
@"Yeti"'s Middleman Thread (Click)
@"Terror Squad"'s Middleman Thread (Click)

3. Use common sense!
If its too good to be true, it probably is. Most people setup scams to lure new users into deceiving traps. This doesn't happen often but heres a perfect example: Snip

[Buyer] Get your needed item fast

Yes this is possible, and very easy! All you need to do is be really specific in what you ask for. ALWAYS include a way to contact you, whether it is AIM, Skype, or Kik/other services. If you don't know what to include in your post feel free to follow the format below

Code:
[SIZE=4][b]Item(s) wanted[/b][/SIZE]
[i]Budget[/i]
Description:
Source of contact information

[Seller] Find the perfect customer

One of the best ways to find a customer is to go through the Buyers Market looking for the wanted items that you are providing. In this example I will be selling Xbox Currency. I take a look at someones thread and use my copied and pasted response. Copying and pasting responses linking to your sales thread generates tons of areas for potential traffic. Whether people are like the Buyer and want to buy something from you yourself or maybe are willing to offer something different.

Conclusion

I really hoped you like this tutorial, if there is anything you think should be added please feel free to private message or reply to this thread, thanks so much!

This will definitely help out many members whether new to FK or not. Very nice organized guide none the less

Wow dude, this thread actually deserves a pin. It's clear that you put a hell of a lot of work into it and it is incredible.

I don't agree witg the MMs you chose at all.
@idefy has had a valid scam report on him .. ? http://www.forumkorner.com/thread-153926.html
@basedgod is chill, no beef with him.

But, you shouldn't promote anyone as a MM period, besides staff. Also, I'm surprised as to why @leader isn't on the list .. overall, I believe you shouldn't promote anyone as MM. (besides staff that has experience MMing, and is down to do it)

I am always willing to middleman for other members. If you could update the OP with my name. Include my vouch thread, which can be found in my signature.

I believe that you wrote the wrong name when tagging me in the OP.

Why would you make someone pay for a E-book which is common sense?

Welcome, Yeti.
... then you add yourself as a MM Cx

Hahaha, just helping out. I'm probably going to be a bit slow and I wouldn't do deals more than $300 with me :3
