Something I have noticed since I came here is inactivity, it's the reason I stayed away as long as I did. When I first joined I was still on that other site and couldn't find a reason to really sure this one due to activity.
But once I actually started visiting here more often I realized that even though the activity is low this place is more of a family that any other forum I have been on. Out of the 4+ years I was there I never met people that wanted to help or cared about a forum more than here.

Granted a lot of people have left because times have changed, but you can't let that stop you from enjoying it. Some staff could do a LOT better but there are a couple that do their job exceptionally well.
*@"Cann!bal" we spoke a few times and you contribute and put a lot of time here for nothing but to help the community.
*@"GrƷƷd" I've talked to you many times, you have always been a great help and a very legit person when it came down to business.
*@Jason You were there to help me when I first came here and I thank you for that.
*@Justice I actually talked to you more than any other staff/mod and you are a very helpful person. You should hit me up sometime.

Back to the topic though, I honestly believe that the community would be a lot better if most of you would just accept the newcomers and not think they are all bad and here to scam. Just have to give them a chance. Make this a friendly community like it was when I came here.

Most activity has completely died and the same types of threads are posted. We need all the new people here to bring diversity, who would want to stay on a forum where you see people talking about the same shit everyday? Where everyone who has high rep gets special treatment, I believe everyone should be treated equally here.

If you disagree with anything I said then please voice your opinion, I would love to see how you guys think we can fix this. @Philly I want your input on this as well, not just members.

I am not going to lie all I read was inactivity, nothing else. Going off the stats, FK is at its extremely highest points, and just going up. Any which way you look at it, MyBB, Analytics, Webalizer, Alexa, etc... What inactivity are you talking about?

You forgot @Genuine for being your dad.

@Philly compared to last year around the time I joined FK is dead in most parts of it. Only threads about the same thing or sales sections get posts. I'm not talking about actual statistics, a lot of people have joined. However people that used to hold the community together have left.

If you would take the time to read the entire thread you would see exactly what I'm talking about.

Well I don't think I've been here long enough to notice the inactivity, but I always welcome the new members no matter what.

@"Cann!bal" look at the quality though. More scams, more bans, less activity within most sections, people joining and being online doesn't count as activity when a lot of sections are dying.

I can't really talk as I haven't been here for very long, but the statistics may not be as accurate as you think.
Especially when you have contest threads which ask people to spam to 2000 posts, and all people do is type in 'asdfghjkl111111' multiplied by like 500 or so.
It may still technically be classified as forum activity, but in my opinion a lot of this 'activity' is just spam.
Idk, just my 2 cents.

@Astro I couldn't agree more, I'm glad someone finally understood what I was trying to say.

Huh? Pal, you're not making much sense. With increase of activity comes more scams and bans. It's a matter of activity fluctuations, it's not something we can control. Increase in member activity promotes more activity in sections, not vice versa. None of those unsubstantiated assertions validly justify your statement that ForumKorner is inactive; we're hitting record highs in activity, yet you insinuate that "most activity has completely died"!

Its because the gamertag scene is dead. Most people came here to buy and sell tags. And most older members dont post as much because of the maturity level of a lot of the new members.

@"Cann!bal" please take a look at @Astro's post it is what I'm trying to get a cross. And by no means should more members mean more scams. That is just pure insanity to have those two relate.

Also for people to want to join and stay active they want to see the sections they are interested in active. Why would someone join and take it upon themselves to put all the time into building something up that no one cares about.
You see all this from a statistical standpoint, but you need to see it from just a regular viewpoint. Look at it how a guest would.

That actually seems about right, when I first joined it was to buy/sell tags. Then the banwave came, and most people left after a lot of newer members started coming in.

These last few days have actually had some of the most activity I've ever seen, in 3 threads we amassed almost 2,000+ posts and they're still going today. The staff also do so much that we can't see as well, but honestly the inactivity thing you're talking about is smack. Look at the statistics.

I just see it going higher by the day.

I don't understand why there's this misconception that ForumKorner's inactive. Within this past week, I'm quite confident we broke the most members online record.

Several times over.

You didn't state any of what Astro said in your original post. Truthfully, you asserted the contrapositive. He claims there is activity and you claim "most activity has completely died".

More members does mean more scams. That's how activity fluctuations operate.

More active and new members -> More posting activity (and adversities i.e scams, bans)-> More activity throughout the forums, sections

If ForumKorner's activity was decreasing, as you suggest, we would be observing the precise opposite of this pattern, that being:

Less active and new members -> Less posting activity (and adversities i.e scams, bans)-> Less activity throughout the forums, sections

The statistics are the only evidence both of us can refer to prove our manifestations, and quite frankly the evidence contradicts your claim extensively. As aforementioned, we're hitting record highs in activity, yet you insinuate that "most activity has completely died", and you're unable to justify your claim logically.

I actually first came on FK looking for a tag lol but than i got into social mediums.
to be honest this site it my opinion is really active. more active than any other site iv been on

In my opinion, this site is extremely active! I mean, yeah. There are those threads dedicated to spam and whatnot, which may boost the stats a bit, but the amount of 'family' we have here, is amazing. The amount of real users, not dedicating themselves to selling things, and not making everything a sale makes me happy. I joined a week ago, and all I've been seeing is growth. You are running this site very well @Philly . The staff here is great as well! When a problem arises, or you do something wrong, they can help you understand what it is you did wrong. I'd like to say thank you all, for making this a great place.

True words from a wiseman. I second this.

The sites active, just different now. I can 100% vouch that new members aren't treated all too well. I'm talking of new members, not those who were from other forums and come here. New members aren't all that smart usually, so they get more hate off the bat than help. I assume what he's calling "dying" is so many people leaving, and the site changing so much. When I first joined, it was much different. It felt much, much, more mature than it currently is. A lot of people wanted to be e-thugs. Hell, the market was called "black market" back then. Now, it's about spamming or being "HQ". I'm not complaining, just throwing my 2 cents in. I still enjoy FK, to be honest. We're all much closer here, than most sites. I feel as if I have had a decent conversation with about 85% at least, of the consistently active users here.
