There seems to be a lot of cultural diversity here on MS and lets make the best of it.

What's your favorite food from your country?

I'm from India and I like tandoori, paneer gravies and south Indian breakfast items like dosa and upma.

Well my favorite food in our country are:

Pork Adobo, Pork Sinigang, Bibingka, Puto Bumbong, Halo Halo, Kare-Kare and Nilagang Baka.

Well why?

Pork Adobo
- I like pork too much plus the Tangy salty taste of soy sauce and vinegar. That's Awesome.

Pork Sinigang
- Well same reason as pork adobo but it differs from the taste which is sour due to the tamarind or tomatoes itself.

Halo Halo
- Since this dessert is usually eaten on hot days. Lots of Ice plus Red beans, Garbanzos, Round Jelly, Square Jelly, Leche Flan, Ice Cream and Topped it with Ube. Definitely it taste good, oh wait don't forget to pour some milk to it.

Well you can search it via Google since most of the Dishes are Filipino native.

I am from the Philippines too like the first poster. And these are my favorite Filipino Dishes.

Ginisang Kangkong ( Sauteed or Stir Fried Morning Glory).
Pork Adobo
Ginataang Dabong (Young bamboo shoot with coconut milk)
Any kind of delicacies made from cassava and sticky rice like suman, bibingka, pilipit and binigkit ( These are in Filipino names and made from sticky rice)

I am a Nigerian and one of our most delious meal is ''Ewedu' and these are the ingredents to prepare the food. 2 cups (½ liter) ewedu leaves
1.Taspoonful Iru
2.Potash (optional)
3.Salt.
Instruction: Remove Ewedu leaves from the stem, and wash them.
Chop into pieces on chopping board.
Put one cup of water on fire and bring to a boil.
Pour the chopped ewedu into the boiling water.
Add the Iru (and the potash if desired)
Allow to boil for 10 minutes, with the pot uncovered.
Add salt to taste and cook for another five minutes.
Serve with obe ata (pepper soup) and eba, or amala, or funfun, or gira, etc. etc.

My favorite foods are Adobo, Sinigang, Sweet and Sour fish of my mom, Chopsuey of my dad and Laing of my grandma. I love adobo very much because of it's delicious taste. It made me want for extra rice lol. Other food that I write I love them because that's my loved ones specialty.

One of my favorite Filipino delicacy is called Adobo, it can be a chicken or pork mixed. In preparing this meal, you just have to mixed all ingredients like vinegar, soy sauce, a little sugar, garlic, onions, pepper, Laurel leaves, water, and pork/chicken meat. It will look brownish when it is called already.

I am from Nepal, the country of Mount Everest - the highest peak in the world.

The general meal in our country is Dal Bhat and Vegetable. we like this meal and eat daily. On occasions, we eat various cuisines.

i'm from Philippines and my favorite food here in the Philippines is a dish we called "ADOBO"...it either pork or chicken....there are so many ways to cook it but i love it when it was little dry and the meat is well done

Here in Mexico there are really 2 favorite foods. Id say the taco and the tamale. Both can be made many different ways. With beef, pork, or chicken all are good.
