First car suggestions!

Hi everyone,

I am almost 17 years now.
Which allows me to go and do driving lessons.
I need a decent car to get around.
Rather have a fuel effenciety car, or electric one.
Needs to be a good looking one aswell.
Around the price range of $4000, which equals around €3000.
It needs to be in good condition aswell, planning to travel loads with it.

Suggest me a car please.
 
Buy a tricycle. Those things are fast af.

nah jk I'm bad with cars but buy an electric one, those are good for the environment.

I am planning to get a hybrid, it's a gas & electric one.
So if you don't got anywhere to charge your electric engine, you can drive on with gas.
 
It kinda depends on the state that you live in. My mom got me a Honda Civic for under that price (it's just a starter though)

State? I live in The Netherlands, Ohio.
 
You will not get a good electric or hybrid for $4,000 so that's pretty much out of the question.

Now, if fuel isn't the biggest concern I would suggest an old Jeep cherokee, cj or something. (1996ish-2001)

A shitty honda or toyota could do the job, like Civic or Camry or something of the likes. (those are ugly though)

You could also get a bigger car like a truck, I don't know if $4000 could get you an old Tacoma though. Tacoma's last FOREVER and you can run them to the ground, plus they get mild gas mileage.

Stay away from nicer German cars with low price tags because those things are endless pits of expensive repairs.

If you want to go American, an old Chevy could do you well too.

Look around on Craigslist and eBay and look for high quality listings because usually a hq listing = hq owner = well taken care of.

There are 2 main types of hybrids - plug in and normal. Plug in run like the one you talk about, with Electric running and then gas kicks in if the electric runs out. Those are very expensive (Prius PLUG-IN) and chevy volt.

Normal hybrids run you cheaper but are still somewhat pricey.

Hey there fantastic, I've had two of them but now I have a 2013 VW Golf tdi blue motion.
 
Fuck gas mileage. Get a 1994 Lexus Ls400 and slam it.

Another nice car is a 1999 Mercedes s320.

Both in your price range.
