Favorite metal bands?

Scorpions and only scorpions, I don't listen to metal other than scorpion's
 
We need a metal section to be honest, alright here's my list of all the bands in my iTunes, don't hate I'm going to put some time into this. Some may not be metal but more on the heavy rock side or "metal core".. Also this is only some on my laptop.

I like this list. A lot of it I don't listen to because they are a little to hardcore for me, but more than half I do listen to. So we may get along just fine.

I listen to a lot of those bands as well.
Also, all shall perish is pretty good too.
 
Black metal > doom metal > death metal .

Love them all, in that order. Too many bands to list.
 
Oh boy where do i start? haha, 1. Slayer 2. Five Finger Death Punch 3. Metallica 4. Korn 5. Slipknot 6. Disturbed 7. Black Sabbath
 
Alter Bridge , Three days Grace , System of a down , Crown the Empire , Art of Dying , Thousand Foot Krutch , Breaking Benjamin.
 
Def Leppard, Bullet for My Valentine, Warrant, Metallica, Disturbed, Whitesnake, Skid Row, Damn Yankees, White Lion, Shinedown, Three Days Grace, Iron Butterfly, Black Sabbath, Motley Crue, Megadeth, Poison, etc. I could go on for days but my definition of metal is pretty lenient.
 

You have a pretty good line up here as well!

There are plenty more bands out there, what else is there?
 
Some of these bands being listed are NOT metal at all. I dont know how deep some of you guys run with the sub genres but I like alt metal/nu metal a lot. If I want super heavy shit i'll listen to Deathcore. Which I think Suicide Silence and Chelsea Grin are a lot closer to. I could go on for days but to name a few: Deftones, Korn, Drowning Pool, Slipknot, SOAD.

Edit: Theres a lot of really good bands being listed; Breaking Benjamin, 3dg, Thousand Foot Krutch etc. but these bands are considered post grunge. It makes a difference.
