The lighting in the second flows together overall and looks a lot sexier. The only thing I can complain about, it how pixelated the lines look, like here for example: To me, that could have been a little more smooth. Other than that, its a really nice piece of work. Good job.

It's a wonderful tool, just has terrible aliasing.

I think I know how to fix it. I believe you used stroke on the pen tool, and the pencil option I believe. Maybe try using a brush to stroke the pen tool lines instead. That might solve the pixelation problem.
