I like how you made those gradients. They're simple yet good looking, especially the 'pressed' one since in all honestly, I still have some problems figuring out how to do one properly without having it looks weird.

Originally I was going to keep it all flat and use simple icons, but after a bit of messing around with the contents I had, I decided to drop it and see what I can do with what I had so far.
I'm not saying there's anything wrong with what you've got so far, although I have seen a similar GUI which uses a different sort of individual omni light on each of its buttons.
I think it would be a lot more understandable if I were to show you an example of what I'm talking about - I'll try finding it. I like what you've came up with so far though.
