They also said we were fucked in 2000 with Y2K...

Not necessarily, life changing moments can happen at last second. Take 9/11 for example, no one knew it was coming, it could be the same for this.

Sure, some of us believe that the "second son of man" is coming. But where is EXACT proof it's gonna be on that exact date?
People said shit was gonna happen on 6/6/6 9/9/9 etc etc, and even more. Nothing happened.
Everyone just comes up with this shit and puts it into your head, and you guys believe it. It's quite funny.

True.
There's a significant difference, however: Y2K was a theory that computers wouldn't be able to turn over from 1999 to 2000. "2012" was allegedly predicted by ancient civilizations thousands of years and miles apart. These civilizations were as good as us at mapping stars thousands of years ago, and used a more accurate calender.
I'm sure a lot of this is crackpot bullshit. I mean those same ancient calenders etc must be open to different interpretation.
If civilizations that far back that advanced with math and science that used a more accurate calender than we do all point to the end of the world, I'm a little bit freaked out.
either way, nothing we can do. so no big D
