Extra Security Upon Registering

I've been noticing an outrageous ammount of spam bots registering on RuneGear. My proof is on the bans.php page. The staff is catching and banning alot of the spam bots, but it would really save the staff and admin a lot of time and effort if there were to be an extra security measure added upon registration. I'm only looking out for the best interests of RuneGear, I'm sure the staff and probably the admin will agree with me on this.

And what do you suggest to improve it?

I would suggest on having a random story problem or something similar upon registration. It can be a really easy story problem, but just put it in words that a spam bot wont beable to understand.

Say something like this...
"If The Elite had five apples, and gave one apple away, how many apples would he have left?"

or you could just say something like...
"What is Five plus Five?"

Doing this step would most definately limit the number of spam bots registering on RuneGear. It could end it completely, depending on how good they were coded. But I have not seen one spam bot on any forums doing these steps unless the creator manually creates the account and starts spamming.

I think there is one.. Like, What's darker.. Black or white?

That is actually a very good idea.
I think this suggestion is nothing but beneficial, Scooby.
And it wouldn't take long to implement.
5 Minutes to the most?

<?php

\\Register codes

$textbox1 = "*Insert questions*"

$answers = "*Insert answers*"

if ($textbox1="$answers";)

echo {"$successfulregistrationpage";}

else
echo {"Registration failed incorrect answer.";}
?>

Are they really?

Someone has to be paying them to do it or something.
