Explanation to my demotion

Yes, I was demoted. To be honest, I don't know the "real" reason for my demotion. Apparently, I was demoted because slack3r is a better admin "due to his dumps and attraction for new members". What confuses me is why this happened all of a sudden? Was it because I called out Glen for "just playing" when he promotes a member of the forum to owner allowing this member to have access to confidential information such as your IP. It may not be a big deal to some, but some things are way too far. The reason why I say "all of a sudden" is because slack3r was never notified he was getting admin (assumption). Slack3r didn't even want to be admin. That's why he doesn't have the userbar anymore. Another reason I was given (listed in a thread that was deleted) was I wasn't active and my timezone causes issues. This is my total time spent online: 6 Months, 2 Weeks, 4 Days, 8 Hours, 37 Minutes, 7 Seconds. So that reason doesn't make sense. Now, I live in EST timezone. 2 admins live in UK. I talk to Ninja every single day (also lives in UK). So that can't be the problem either. I may never know, but that is fine. I am not planing on returning to the team (I was asked to become head staff), but I will stick around. I do not agree with many of the decisions Glen makes, for example: allowing Premium members able to rep +9 so now a well-liked member who has been here for 3 months can get as much rep as a well-liked member who has been here for 2 years, but he can do whatever he wants because it is his website. I have more of a "we do what the community wants and likes" attitude and he has more a "we do what's best for the business" attitude (yes I know he doesn't want to lose money). I can ramble on for ages, but I am going to close it here. It was a fun run. There is only 1 more person left of the original crew (Mike) and I hope he keeps it going. Speaking of Mike, this is kind of similar to when Mike got randomly demoted I guess. Anyways, if you want to know anything else you just message me on Skype, I am always available to talk.

Honestly, you were the best admin on this forum. You focused on your duties in order to better this forum, and acted out of integrity rather than favoritism. It's sad to see you depart.

I had no access to any information. I could not login to ModCP nor AdminCP because it is IP locked. Since my IP was not added to the whitelist I was denied access.

From what I've read it seems that chewy from the whole staff team was demoted, a old school member demoted for being "inactive" while glen hires up randoms that no one knows, and for being inactive? 6 months online time doesn't seem that inactive. And if Slack3r wasn't even looking for a promotion (Assuming he wasn't) this was all done for profitable gain for glen obviously, with a well known hacker/phisher on his staff team slack3r will dump high quality shit attracting more members, I don't know I'm stoned but that's what I think.

I never said it was bad. As a forum, that is reverse. If the community does well, the business does well.

Also, how much earlier were you notified about being admin?

I mean a dude with 1 post can come here and add a profile pic thats hosted on his server and harvest everyones ips anyway.

Whatever the reason is,chewy was a beast ass admin.
Demoting him was just making the time taken to reach the foot of the mountain we are slowing go to even faster.
Some changes better be made soon.

I disagree with what's happened. It's a pity that things like this are still happening, and that people still don't realise the impact it has.

I think that you should have been demoted after slack3r accepted being an admin. But not until then.

There has been a steady decrease in Chewbaka's activity. This of course was not the only reason why I have decided to demote Chewbaka.

I will be very soon bringing a lot of new members to Rune Gear and we are also going to have to make some room for some new staff.

Being an Admin/Staff on Rune Gear is something people decide to do in their free time, it's not a right and if I decide that something needs to change then I will take the appropriate action.

You are right it was not right for me to have been trolling him, I was just having a joke with Adam. His usergroup display was set to "Admin" nothing else. IP lockouts and permission errors would have prevented him from seeing anything.

After reading what you said, this makes no sense on why you got demoted. Sorry to see you go as admin. Hope you get it back or at least a better explanation.

Even if I was offered, I won't take it back. Glen feels that he should have admins that contribute to the forums, i.e. dumps. Like I said, "I may never know the exact reason, but that is fine". I will still hang around.
