Currently in AP Psychology class for college, becoming a psychologist and we're currently touching the subject of mental illnesses and how it's affecting those day by day.

@Monster Yes, your grammar is ass, but you do think well. I'm not looking for people who can wield knives, or know what to do when going through a rough neighborhood. I'm looking for people who have good ideas, and, at least to some extent, convey them. Those are the people who intrigue me the most.

This thread is going to be filled with kids trying their hardest to appear to be smart LOL. There will be suckage of Envy's peen by these kids as well.

@envy my grammar is sht because English wasn't my first language, and whenever I was in English class I would fall asleep, but regarding on ideas and thoughts, my perspectives are always unique. I view things on a different spectrum.
 

@Color pointed my grammar isn't at its finest and that my sentence structure is very inconsistent. I've been struggling very hard to overcome that barrier, @shock is currently helping me improve with that. I'm proud to be in, thanks for having me.

It does NOT MATTER who here is "trying their hardest to appear" smart. This group is all about consistency and sustainability. If they're not smart, I will notice and remove them from the group. Everybody in this group will participate in discussions and debates. If somebody manages to fake their intelligence for the entire time while being in the group, I'd be prouder of them.
 
I would make a more detailed version of this application but am rather busy at the moment.

I would like to be apart of this prestigious group due to me being very skilled and knowledgeable when it comes to debates, I am either for or against the parties because my mind is never set on right or wrong it is set on facts and situations that could have occurred.

To finish off my statements I am gonna write a recite poem that is dear to me.

Love this group, we've has some discussion before @Envy, I feel like the sub would be like the philosophy section, but filled with people who actually understand morals and ethics.
Regardless of my acceptance, this group is nice.

I think your grammar is rough because you are too lazy to type and you use talk-to-type without proof reading first. Maybe you just do that when you iMessage me though. Anyway, glad to see you in the group, congrats!
 
Oh I'm sorry, I misread the how to apply part, nonetheless here you go.

To apply or not? I hope applications are not judged by popularity or a member or how long they've been on this forum, or how respected they are, I don't think you would do this so I'll let you judge me by this following text. Let me explain myself a little further though, I'm in AP English so I really like writing and reading and in this class we tend to hold a lot of discussions and people disagree so we end up having debates which are very amusing and fun to participate, especially when the other person is educated and respected, I feel like this would be a very similar place, so I obviously would like to join this because it seem's like something that I'd enjoy and participate in often, very unique group, anyways enough about me, let me talking you about the importance of having a "God" regardless of an all powerful being actually exists.

Well for starters, what do us humans live by, what do we judge from being good and bad? We use our morals to determine these things, and where do we get these "holy" rules projected as our morals towards the world we live, because we all live in a completely different world then people only 50 years ago, society has progressed so far and so have our standards for living and our acceptance of ordinary things such as homosexuality, 50 years ago this was a harshly talked subject and it was deemed wrong, but let me get back on track on the subject of moral's. This omnipotent leader creates these laws which people who believe in him follow, these laws are what the believers live there lives by, if the image of this being was non-existent what would those people live by, they rely on a code of laws to guide them throughout this corrupt world which we live in. This being creates a way of life for us, regardless if you don't believe in him, we've all heard of God and the commandments which we at least try to follow, murder is not accepted, obviously but imagine if people did not believe this, perhaps this was a choice in life as simple as choosing left or right, maybe people would just choose to make it a part of there lives and society just accepted it as peoples' choice in life, we all believe in different things but we all know that murder is shunned and not accepted throughout society. This god, whomever it might be, buddah, the greek gods, roman gods, whoever it may be these beings guide our way of life and what they say and how people transmit what they say, we follow their words and we let them guide us, I personally believe in God and I honestly guide my life the way I see it would be right in his eyes. Even if you do not believe in these beings of power which guide humanity then you're subsequently affected by those who do, we all know people with different beliefs and they follow different lives than us, but we still let ourselves be guided by these beings simply because we do not want to seem different to people we are a round, we let ourselves be controlled by these beings and thus the importance of these so called gods comes to existence. If they did not guide us then who would? Would we simply follow the moral's and beliefs of others, I find this to be a huge possibility, but I don't think people would simply accept these beliefs if they came from ordinary people, I feel like they're more powerful if they come from people who have guided people, races, nations, the peoples way of co-existing with each other, these beings guide us if we want it or not, we decide our way of living, these beings are important by the simple reason of how we live our lives, they guide our lives, our decisions, what's right and what's wrong. I may be wrong, but this is why I think that imnipotent leaders or gods re important they rule over what's right and whats wrong, even in our twisted society.

I hope you consider me to join your group, I feel like it has a lot to offer and I can really be a part and participate @Envy

Thought I'd share what I've learned in my AP Big History class, to maybe show that I'm intellectual enough. I don't think there are many Big History course out there in High School, so probably many people don't know about this. I'll be sharing what I've learned about one section in my Big History  course, Complexity and Thresholds, which was actual one of the first subjects we talked about. I was very interested about this, because I had no idea this was discussed and taught before. I did not type all of this out, I just copied and pasted it from my presentation that I had to do on this. If you want to see it along with the notes I took for proof, I can show you.

What does complexity mean, and why is it so important? What role has complexity played in getting us to the world we live in today?

One of the central themes of this course is the idea of increasing complexity. In the 13.8 billion years since our Universe appeared, more and more complex things seem to have appeared — and we’re among the most complex of them all. So it’s natural for complex things to fascinate us. Besides, modern human society is so complex that learning how the Universe creates complexity can also teach us something about today’s world. But we shouldn’t assume there’s anything special about complexity or that complex things are necessarily any better than simple things. Remember that complexity can present challenges.

A continuum from simple to complex:

Complexity is a quality, like “hot” or “cold.” Things can be more or less simple and more or less complex. At one end is utmost simplicity, like the cold emptiness of intergalactic space. At the other extreme is the complexity of a modern city.

The qualities of more complex things:

Here are three qualities that make some things more complex than others.
01 Diverse ingredients: More complex things often have more bits and pieces, and those bits and pieces are more varied.

02 Precise arrangement: In simpler things it doesn’t matter too much how the ingredients are arranged, but in complex things the bits and pieces are arranged quite precisely. Think of the difference between a car and all the bits and pieces of that car after it’s been scrapped and is lying in a junkyard.

03 Emergent properties: Once the ingredients are arranged correctly, they can do things that they couldn’t do when they weren’t organized. A car can get you around; its component parts cannot. A car’s capacity to be driven is a quality that “emerges” once it’s been assembled correctly, which is why it’s called an “emergent property.”

Moving onto Thresholds and the Goldilocks Conditions now.

Goldilocks Conditions:

You find complex things only where the conditions are just right for making them, where there are just the right environments, just the right ingredients, and just the right energy flows. We call these conditions “Goldilocks Conditions.” Remember the children’s story of the three bears? Goldilocks enters their house when they are out. She tastes their porridge and finds that the father bear’s is too hot, the mother bear’s is too cold, but the baby bear’s is just right. Complexity seems to appear only where the conditions are “just right.” So whenever we see complex things appearing, we can ask why the Goldilocks Conditions were “just right.”

Thresholds of increasing complexity:

In this course, we will focus on moments when more complex things seemed to appear, things with new emergent properties. We call these “threshold moments.” Examples include the appearance of the first stars in a Universe that had no stars, and the appearance of the first cities in societies that had never known cities before. Each time we cross one of these thresholds we’ll ask about the ingredients and the Goldilocks Conditions. And we’ll also ask what was new. What emergent properties do these new complex things have? There are many such turning points in Big History, but in this course we will focus mainly on eight threshold moments. Some thresholds took place at a very specific point in time, while others were more gradual and we can only approximate the turning point. If this were an astronomy course or a biology course, our choice of thresholds would undoubtedly be different. In fact, during this course we will see many important “turning points” that we could, perhaps, describe as “thresholds.”

And there you have it, one of the first subjects we talked about in Big History, which I did a presentation/report on. Like I said, if you want more proof that I actually did this all. I can show you my presentation/notes.

This does look pretty cool. Finally something out of the box from this section. As far as your requirements go.... I don't have the slightest idea of what to say to leave an impression, so... how about you pick a topic, tag me in the thread, and lets debate. @Envy
