Enough award selling/exchanging

It's about damn time someone said this. Selling/exchanging for another award needs to stop. Half of the awards on this site are user owned awards, and 95% of them are being sold off for koins/paypal or A4A. Take some fucking pride in your award, and make it exclusive. Don't fucking sell the thing for $5. If you are that concerned with profit go fucking mow a lawn. You are not even making that much off of the award. Having your profile full of user awards doesn't make you any more valuable to the forum. For all of the award owners out there who sell your award for a small amount of money, or trade it, shame on you. Take some fucking pride in that award, and make it more valuable than that $5 payment. Give your award some meaning.

Okay, rant over. If you are offended get over it.

I never understood the whole "award purchasing" thing. Some pixels that do absolutely nothing aren't worth $5 to me lol
 
This is why I want your award; you actually have to EARN it. Also, I know it doesn't make me better I just like having a lot of awards. I can't speak for others.
 
Yes, I agree with this, I have seen more award for award then rep for rep around lately. But I wouldn't sweat it, Most of their awards are ugly and pointless. Yes it is there award but they can do what they want with it.
 
You cannot make an already meaningless award have meaning. This is the aftermath of having so many user-owned awards.

Don't be mad at the fact that users are trying to make profit. I'm a business man, I encourage business. Be mad at the dumbasses willing to buy a meaningless award that are making them successful. Let's face it, having too many awards is hideous anyway.
 

That isn't even business. Making $25 off an award....that's profit to you? If anyone really wanted to make some profit at such a young age (not saying all users are) have your parents invest in the stock market for you.

If it is your award you should be able to do whatever you want with it.

Seems like profit to me. If I purchased a rock for $1 and sold it to you for $2, I made a $1. It doesn't matter how much it is, it's profit. Don't let a minimal number blind the fact that users are profiting money selling their awards. Like most things, it will die down after users realize how useless most user-owned awards are. Most of them are probably trying to recover the money they paid for the award and transfer fee.

I do, however, think excessive award trading should not be permitted. It looks unprofessional.

Key word is "Opinion" everyone has there own, just stating mine.
 

Can't argue with that. Profit IS profit. It's just a damn shame to see people buy them to only sell them/exchange them. I'm too caught up in the moment now. When I was young anything was profit to me. I guess it just changed as I grew older.

You're right. I never stopped you from having your own. A little debate never killed anyone though (that's probably bull shit ).
 
The whole reason the awards use to be cool was the fact that they were super exclusive but when it comes down to it, what's the point of having an award if its not being seen around. That's why my award is easily obtainable legitimently. I did sell my award for koins and used those to upgrade a few members who couldn't afford the upgrade yet deserved it.
 

See this is what I wanted. I wanted someone to question my opinion with an legitimate reason. You doing this for other members is a selfless act. I applaud you @"Ride". That is very generous and understandable. Hats off to you.

Yes if you look at my threads and what sections they are in most of them are contest and giveaways. others are marketplace, bmx and general area.
 
I completely agree with you. So much to the point that I don't even want any user-owned awards on my profile. Except for sexy and smoker hehe.
 
Only legit person who does not just give his shit away is @Difficult, @Mason and like three others.

I agree with this, all the awards I have I either earned or asked for.

I bought the smoking award for 1 koin, just because it was a weed leaf
