Enlighten me (questions from a noob)

Trying to learn these terms i keep reading so bare with me.

What exactly is turboing? I have an idea but i need clarified on it

What makes an account valuable? Originality, tensure, stats/games, MSP etc.?

Where does the actual pricing of a tag come from? How is a number determined?

What is RNC'd? Read that term somewhere too. I think it has to do with banned accounts

When, if ever, will accounts be reset? Has Microsoft said? Some were already reset, why those particular accounts and not all of them?

Turboing: lets say someone is swapping a tag(changing there name so the other person can change there name to that), they use a program that keeps clicking "Change name" until they get the tag

Value: Most people on here go for 3 letter/char tags, OGs(like Boss). it all depends on the persons liking.

Pricing: Same as before, the persons liking

Accounts are reset because they haven't been transfered and are inactive and taking up space.

So for turboing people run that program every so often to see if an exchange is being made and once they find an open tag they like they claim the tag before the buyer can?

As for the accounts, i still dont understand why some of them have been reset and others havent? There are several OGs that were made the first day of XBL but have been sitting unused for years and they show no sign of being reset.

Turboin is when someone auto clicks the ' Change Gamertag" button on xbox.com When a turboer finds out a gamertags has been sold they usually start auto clicking in that tag on xbox.com untill they get the tag

But how is that an effective method? Does microsoft tend to generate more original gamertags when available? Because any time i have asked for suggestions i got something like WallowingFish17

Say somone bought the GT: Doctor!

A turboer will find out that the GT Doctor has been sold and will go on his turboing program and will auto click the ' Change gamertag' button on xbox.com on a new xbox account where u have one free nname chnage.

then if the person that has Doctor swaps that tag, Doctor to another account, as he chnages the gamertag, the turboer will take that gt before the person can put doctor on another account!

and the turboer ends up with a sick og tag

The reason the gamertags aren't being used is because M$ takes control of them after so many years of inactivity and they become unused accounts. Most of the original gamertags you see for sale were unused until March 7th 2011 which was the date they started to delete some of the V1 gamertags. Personally i wish they would delete more of them as i have my favorite name, but there is 1 other name i really want and it's a V1 When the next reset comes (if M$ would stop being lazy) then there would be tons of names available for everyone to have a semi OG or at least a cool name. M$ is greedy and doesn't want to reset them due to how lazy they are. People under value gamertags with MS points on them ect. if an account has a 5 year tenure with 4000 MSP on it and 30,000 G score it might go for a little over $100 even tho the MS points alone are worth around $50. Usually MSP on the account is just a bonus.

Damn =/ wish i would have made a bunch of silvers and gotten some nice tags. Deff wouldnt have sold them for hundreds of dollars like people do now, thats just plain greedy.

They weren't really worth much since people were jacking all the beast 5 letters and 3 letters, but they are worth a lot more now and ppl keep getting them banned which just keeps upping the value of mine
