Scam plays a large part in the internet today mainly because they are more and more people getting on the internet to do things, like selling, buying and socializing. EBay as a huge marketplace of its own are not spare from scams every day. Protecting yourself from eBay scam when you are either buying or selling can be puzzling if you are unsure of how to continue. When you are looking at an item on eBay you wish to buy, check out the auction page carefully. Inspect the ad and see how authentic it sounds and appears. Look at who the vendor is and what kind of evaluations he or she has gotten. EBay has continued to expand over time to give consumers a pleasant experience when shopping.

When I buy something at ebay, I make sure that the seller has high reputation. I don't transact with those who only has a few transactions to avoid being ripped of.

I have not made any purchase online as i am afraid of being ripped off. I have learned a lot from other people as we deal with different kinds of scams. If you can not help making purchases on the internet, be sure to do a research first on the company you would be dealing with. There is a website called "rip off report" that has the list of scam companies out there.

This article is mostly aimed at large-ticket buyers. If you are not risking thousands of dollars on your purchases, some of these suggestions may be overkill. Regardless of how much money is at stake, though, it is YOUR money. Fraud cuts both ways and sellers can be robbed, too.
