Oh im having a ball with BF3 everyone. I got the DVD as most of you know my internet connection is shocking and it would take a couple of days to download such game.

I got the game when I got home at 1pm today and started installing straight away. I left it for about 30minutes knowing that it wouldnt take too long to install.

When I came back I saw the dreaded word, "Downloading...". Why is this game downloading when I have the disc!!! Ive been researching this and it looks like its the same for quite alot of people, but most people wont be too bothered as their net will be far superiour to mine.

So 5-6 hours into 'downloading' im at 5% completion. Yippee, oh if only I knew what EA were thinking when trying to compete with Steam.
 
Pfft, i know this game wouldn't be so flawless as those dumb battlefield fanboys say over youtube.
 
most recent games have a launcher that then needs to download the game its all to do with piracy even though it doesnt work in most cases

I dont lose it like this unless its something absolutely nesseccary.
I also learnt that the Word Filter isnt entirly effective, 2 new filters have been added :)


Thats it, im officially pissed off. Its 2.30am and ive be crawling the web for around an hour now and all I can find is this idiots who believe EA when they say that when Origin says "Downloading" it means its downloading from the disc!

How can you believe such bullshit. Is your drive spinning? No! Does your game continue to "download" when you disconnect your internet? Yes! Can you remove the disk and the download still continue? YES! Does your fucking download have an estimated completion time of fucking 56 hours! I thought fucking not because your probably on a connection thats relatively good and you cant tell the difference between a stupid download and transfering things from your drive to your computer!

Misunderstanding my ass! This is just a fucking waste of material, i have a 2CD box and so far my CD is sat in my drive and shows a window that says install and directed me to a stupid fucking origin downloader! Infact im tempted to get my CDs and snap them in half because all I really need is the stupid fucking redeem code. Talk about failures, this has tipped me over the edge. I might aswell have waited until MW3 had come out because at least then I know that I can use steam and not this steaming pile of crap. Its going to that till then to download the stupid game and then im going to have the rest of the issues of actually being able to play it.

I already cant login to the EA forums to complain because whenever I makea new account I get told to make another. I cant make any more ive used every email address I can remember to get registered!!

Ahh fuck you EA and goodluck with the whole CoD vs BF war that you have just lost without the other side even turning up yet. Congrats

PC > PS3, Xbox, Wii

Factor is just mad because he can't play any good games on PC due to his PC's power.
 
8GB of RAM and a 3.1GHz processor (stock), allows me to play plenty of games. All at the same time if I wanted to.

Yeah, Minecraft is great.

But Call of Duty, Battlefield, and any game like that should be mainly console-based as they are now.

I disagree PC is the better option for gameplay, but for general gaming then yes, consoles are better because they are built for the purpose. Whilst its just another thing a PC can do is gaming.
 
I LOVE PC GAMING consoles suck they have generalised graphics so on pc you can get much much much better graphics and pc alows moding more easily but the recent craze on game launchers are stupid well all exept for steam because in my view steam is the only game launcher that actualy works

Yes you can. Consoles can only use core graphics. With PC you can install mods which makes the textures 100000000 times better. L2graphics.

You're thinking Minecraft only.

Name another game that has texture pack capability.

Using a console with HDMI output, and a 1080p television will have better graphics than anything computer can produce.

Not texture PACKS.... Texture mods.... and you will find those with most, if not all, PC games.

Battlefield 3 and Oblivion are just two examples.
 
Who cares? The textures on Battlefield and CoD are fine by themselves.

You can't beat a console's graphics setup. Unless of course you have one of those professional 5-10k dollar graphics card and a 72" HDTV.

I can create weapon skins as well. It just takes longer.
 
Lol, If you max out a computers settings and compare it next to an xbox the graphics are so much better on a PC. Theres no comparison

I dont think the xbox graphics is going to beat the computer graphics! ... Xbox 360 is only direct x 9 grahics core ... computer graphics look about 40% better then the console!

PC graphics are MUCH better nowadays...so a PC definitely outclasses and xbox 360...bt PCs will ALWAYS outshine consoles... always
