if you apply for a job and that job requires drug testing, and if you fail the test do they do anything else besides just not hire you? only want people with experience or people who actually know what they're talking about to reply to this thread thanks.

hopefully this makes sense btw

No, they don't do anything besides not hire you. It's funny you ask, my friend recently got kicked out of his home after applying for a job where his uncle works at and failing the test. His uncle found out he had failed since he recommended him and told my friends father afterwards. :p

Best of luck to you!

Yeah, they just don't hire you. They won't take the time to get you in trouble with the law, if that's what you're wondering.

The only thing they will do is not hire you. If you want a great method to pass a drug test PM me. Failproof method.

It completly depends on the job you have. If your working a federal/state/hospital/military job they will look into it but if your working at pathmart then all they will do is fire you unless you have a cool boss.

Edit: ik if you have to operate machinery they take it very heavy my friends dad conducts a train and he said he would be in deep shit if he got caught smoking weed. Same goes for an airplane driver etc.

do you think they would make my parents aware that I failed? because they're against marijuana I think, unfortunately.

I could better assess the situation if I knew exactly how deep of shit are you in. but possibly, if they know your parents.

The only way your parents would find out, like @old said, is if they happen to know your parents. Jobs have many different employees applying for their positions they aren't going to take time to rat on a teenager who they found out smokes. They're looking for the best possible person for that job, they aren't looking to bust kids. The only thing I could think of your parents being suspicious is if you end up telling them you didn't get the job and they ask you why. It'd be pretty easy to get around though, just tell them someone older applied and they were looking at him more.
