Donations in market swag?

What is the point of donating here on marketswag? Is it just donations to other users here that want money or is there a specific reason to donate? I'm just really confused about the whole idea and was wondering if anybody could explain it to me

If the request has been made for a donation publicly, surely it will be for a noble cause. You are right in asking for what purpose this donation is

Ohhh ok, thank you for your answer. The whole donation thing was confusing me because I thought it was like other users donating money to each other. It just seemed kind of dumb to me because who would want to just donate their hard earned cents to some random person for no reason? Thank you for clearing it up
