Does Jagex Ban IPs?

If you're caught botting will Jagex ban your IP? I'm considering taking up botting, however this is a big question for me.

Also, is the Powerbot client safe to use if downloaded from the SVN? I deleted mine some time ago, so I got to skip out on all that worrysome junk, but now if I want to bot again I'll need a client. :p

I don't believe they ban IPs for botting. Although they probably do for other serious issues.
As for a bot, just get RSBots.net Client and find someone who is nice enough to give you some auth codes. Or go with Epicbot(.com). It's free and I know a couple people who successfully use it.
 
I'll be making a new account. So as long as Powerbot isn't a keylogger, or some serious virus I don't particularly care. I also scan stuff so I'm not stupid. :p And, thanks Vegeta. Some of my friends said they did.
 
I highly doubt it...
you could just use a vpn to bypass that o_O
I'd say that if anything, they would ban you by mac address or ISP

If the account I'm going to make is banned, will I be IP banned or will they flag my IP? Also, how would I setup a VPN?
 
They'd 'flag' your IP I'd guess. Check your other accounts for botting, if they don't them move on.
 
Right. I'm just worried (I ALWAYS play legit on my main) that they'll think I'm botting my main and ban him. That'd be horrible...

Some guy on hackforums got his 100% legit main reset (like 137 combat? and like 15 99s?) made me laugh like shit.

Use SSH to install a VNC then use the VNC to control the PC to install powerbot?

I'll be playing it very safe from my computer. Making a noob, botting only a few hours per day, and being there when I do it.
 
I don't believe they ban ips if you get caught botting.
 
If you get caught botting by jagex the most they will do is give you a warning at first, or reset your account, they do not ever IP ban
