Any type of skating.
Board, blading, anything.

I just need tips on how i can keep my balance. :S

Also, when i push off on a skateboard, I feel like the whole thing will go flying so i'm afraid to lift up my leg alot. Any tips on that too?

You just have to keep riding until you get comfortable with it. That's really the only way to get past being nervous is to get used to it

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, today i got so pissed of that i threw my board at my house. almost hit a window. :L

It is my 3rd day trying though, so i guess i'll get it soon.

Ya skateboarding takes a lot of time to get the hang of, just take it slow you'll get to the tricks eventually

Yea I never got use to my board back 2 years ago so I quit
Skated for around 2 months and I was still nervous
Like I could do a Ollie and what not but I didn't want to do any thing else

ew.
It's all about aggressive inline, and bmx.

just roll slowly and get on the board slowly, find methods you can use to catch your balance and help with riding straight and be able to turn.

I used to skate(board), and I miss it. I've sustained so many injuries (luckily no head injuries!) while skating. Lots of fun though. I was always able to break my fall with my arms/hands to prevent my head from bouncing off the concrete. Before you get the hang of it you will have a few nasty spills. After you get the hang of it, you will bail even harder. Just protect your head man. The only reason my brains never painted the sidewalk is because I have incredible reflexes. Don't hesitate to wear a helmet, it might not be cool but neither is cracking your head open.

The only reason I no longer skate it because I fucked up an ankle in an incident completely unrelated to skating. When the ankle finally healed I wasn't as good as I had been and I stopped.

But keep at it man! You'll get there.

Thanks alot for the feed back guys.

@#SWA666 ight. i'll take your advice.
@Ruskie Damn bro, i also fucked up my ankle, but that was in 04. It's fully healed now. You should try getting back on the board though.

What are some songs to skate too?

I usually am skating to biggy, OF, or mac miller. need some more. o_o

You have to face fear to skate, thats the whole experience of it. If your Scared to push off try get used to being on the board, perhaps take it up a notch and go do some downhill once you feel comfortable on the board try pushing again, raise your leg higher and further each time.

Yeah man, I cruise from time to time but I don't rip it up like I used to. I like to board from A to B but I refuse to cruise on a longboard. Sadly my skillz are long gone and I don't have the free time to sesh at the park or anything anymore )':

Hah. I've been practicing my balance. I think im getting the hang of it. I just gotta stop being a pansy and attempt to lift my leg after pushing.

Took your advice to face my fear, and i'm doing much better. I just blast biggie on my headphones and forget about the world while doing it. I can sometimes make it on the board now, but i think im in need of a bigger board.
