Some kids said theres going to be a gamertag reset on unactive accounts, is that true? Every like 6 years or some shit. Idk if someone knows just post in the thread.

"Some kids" normally aren't the best resource.

I would go ahead and say if it's ever going to happen, it would be when they release the next Xbox.

Is this actually WillyG ?. Anyway, MS resets tags that have been inactive for 7+ years. They do it at random times though, They reset everyday, All day, But it's random though & they reset V1's. A V1 is a tag that was never transferred from the original xbox to the 360, Like for example, If you look up the tag Obey, It has the original xbox gamer pic, It has no country, Has like 3 stars & it says it has gold, when really it doesn't. That tag is a V1, Never transferred from OG xbox to xbox 360, So when MS feels it's time, They will reset that tag making it available for anyone to take.

Is there a spaced version of Obey? If so, I'd jump on that shit. I can't currently check via xbox.com. OP, they don't reset all tags at the same time, they reset each tag individually, and the post by Control explains how, when and why. I can't see them resetting EVERY account and starting from scratch on the new xbox, as any pre-paid xbox live would be forfeit, along with MSP and downloaded games and whatnot.

Dayummm, that woulda been NICE. Oh well, guess I'll just have to wait for the v1 to reset.
