Do your parents know you smoke?

So basically I have been caught twice now by my parents. I am sixteen almost seventeen. Im an average student and I like smoking weed on occasions with my friends. I dont like drinking at all. The taste and what happens to you just doesnt attract me. I like to smoke but my parents don't like me doing it at all. Any advice on how to talk to them about it? Im almost seventeen if that helps. THanks if you have any advice.
 

Do your research. Show them the stats about how consuming marijuana is perfectly safe and actually a positive thing. Most of our parents were raised in school being taught that one joint equals 20 cigarettes by corrupt education.

My Dad is really progressive. He doesn't act like he knows but I'm pretty sure he does. As for my Mom, she would crucify me. My parents are divorced by the way.
 

See when my mom found out the first time she was extremely disappointed and cried. The 2nd time she was just extremely disappointed. I can kind of sense that my dad cares but he understands that its my life and these are the decisions I am making. I dont understand it though. They found out i went to a party and they thought i was drinking which i wasn't and they accepted it. I wasn't in trouble and they didnt even care. They only brought it up in conversation a couple months after and were just making jokes about it. But as soon as they found out ive been smoking they freak out. I dont get it.
 

Because they were raised learning that drinking was a socially accepted exercise that everyone took part in as well as their family and smoking marijuana was an estranged activity that only hippies and no lifes took part in.

Thats true aha. Defiantly true. My mom started drinking with her family when she was 14. Even though both my parents have smoked weed. My dad a TON more then my mom. But they both told me that they have done it how can they expect me not to? Aha and also my dad even told me that he has gone so far into doing some psychedelics in College. It just frustrates me ahaha
 
My parents definitely know. Why do I know this. Well, they have replaced my stash with various household herbs before, on more than one occasion.

No, I have never talked to them about it.
 
In my opinion drinking is a much bigger deal than smoking, but society tries to say that smoking weed is evil. If your parents don't care that you drink try that instead. The first few drinks don't taste very good unless you learn to make some good mixed drinks (bitches will love you if you these for them at parties). If you still don't want to substitute drinking for smoking then you should ask yourself if the risk is worth the reward.
 
My parents caught me the first time when I was 16 and they were pissed. Over the next couple years they cared less and less about it because I talked to them about how it isnt that bad. Now they don't care that I smoke as long as it doesn't fuck up my life.
 
Yeah they caught me 2 times. But they think I stopped.
 
yeah. but they got my ass for it.
my parents are total 'against weed' people.
some chick pulled up to me on day wanted to blow down.
and i guess she was followed by cops and the cops took pictures.
cops went to my house and showed my parents.
parents searched my car. found my weed.

am currently grounded till December.

this happened in August lol. haven't smoked since.
 
I live with my dad and he was the first person that asked me if I wanted to smoke. So yeah he don't care, but my mom doesn't know.
 
Yes, my parents do know and they are fine with it. My Mother doesn't like it but she can't stop me.

Also my Father doesn't care. My parents are also divorced.
 
Nope, simply because whenever I decide to toke I don't come home for a while.
 
It's a weird situation, I've been "caught" countless times, but not red handed with weed on me or anything, Just when I come home and my mom will ask why my eyes are red and I just call her crazy, than she'll get mad for a couple minutes but than it'll be all good. So I guess she "knows" but she isn't okay with it and she doesn't like it. Both of her brothers (My uncles) smoke, so I wish she would come around. She'll come around one day, I can tell, because each time she catches me it's less and less serious.
 

My mom knows, she allows me to and even buys it for my birthday sometimes. the best way to tell them is that you just tell them, they have more than likely done it before. they won't be mad forever.
