Well, what do you mean? Bad in the sense that to some users, it's unethical to cheat? Well, you can say that. But in my opinion, I just bot so I can get to my goal and have fun. I don't want to spend all of my life getting to a certain stat when I can just bot it to that level. The main purpose of a game is to have fun, I would think, and clicking repetitively for hours at a time isn't fun at all.
I like to bot so i can get the levels and items where i'm able to have fun in RuneScape. Also lots of the suicide botters are good because there would be no way runecrafting is as possible as it is if people didn't bot the ess. Same for other stuff.
Bots are fine, I sure as hell would never want to play RS for a long period of time doing the same thing, while the sun from outside shines a shimmering light, crying for me to come absorb some of it's vitamin E.
But I refuse! I look the other way! I close my eyes and feel RS's pixilated sun.
Bots in my opinion are great. Sure they are against the rules but I find that it saves so so so much more time and leaves me not as addicted as I used to be or if I played legitly. The only bad part is since there are so many people who bot it kind of corrupts the game altogether and ruins the economy.
