Joel does have a point. Your goal is obviously to bash them. Have more of an open mind solidify. People are raised in different circumstances, you can't try and lecture people who give you their opinion on the subject. If you did the title should of been, "Smoking is bad for you". Or something like that. It seems like you're kind of asking to fight with someone.
 

My mother smokes cigarettes in my home. last year my sister was diagnosed with cancer and went under a cat scan, which later proved that the cigarettes were the cause. So shut the fuck up. I don't care about people who smoke cigarettes, as WAR said, they can choose to. But its the fact that parents and people who are responsible for other people's lives do it around them and make THEM sick. It's like having a drunk driver with two babies in the backseat.
 

I'm not trying to lecture them. I published this thread as is. I didn't say anything after I posted it. Only after someone thrashed me for trying to make a helpful and informative thread did I fuckin lose it on them. It's like slapping someone in the face that was trying to help you. If you don't want the help, don't take it. You don't need to kill the person that was willing to help.
 

That's the situation, not directly the cigarettes fault. I'm very sorry about your sister and i hope she is alright, but it was your mothers fault for smoking around your sister. I only smoke with friends who also smoke or i'll smoke away from the house.

Again i'm very sorry about your sister and you have my prayers.



It's not the message that i don't agree with, it's how you attempted to attract people to the thread. Something like, "Harmful effects of smoking" would be much better than this. Smokers see this on a daily basis. They don't want to see it when they are trying to just relax on runegear.
 


It's not the smokers who do it outside or out of other non-smokers range, but rather those who chose to ruin other peoples lives by smoking near or next to them.

Solidify was just stating his opinions on what HE thinks about smoking. I don't understand why you have to come in here raging saying smokers don't want to hear this blah blah blah. My question to you is what the fuck are you doing on this thread then? Its been 5 pages already, you obviously should know what's going on here.

Well Aidan, to be quite frank, I couldn't care less about smokers, because the reality is, they don't give a rats ass about us. When we're in an elevator and they don't have the courtesy to put out their smoke, or where in line and can't leave and you ask them to breath in the other direction or put out their cigarette and they give you a dirty look. Smokers are selfish. They smoke to please their own needs and are inconsiderate for those around them. And the fact that they claim they know its bad for them and those around them makes it all worse. Basically because they know its bad for the people around them but they make the conscious choice of continuing to smoke in front of them. It's fucking so selfish.

So that's why I don't give a flying fuck about smokers. They put their needs before those of others. So I'm sorry if a poor soul has to come on RuneGear and be forced to look at this thread. What in heavens will they do? Oh dear. Grow the fuck up all of you.

"Harmful effects of smoking"? Attract people to the thread? I made that title, because like I mentioned earlier, I wanted this thread to be seen by everyone, whether they do or do not smoke. If they don't smoke, then this would be very informative for them and helpful in keeping them off of it. If they do smoke, well, tough luck. This thread is still here. The lobby is not limited nor restricted to pleasing anyone. I'm sure members have problems with some thread being posted. After all, you don't like every single thread that's posted in the lobby each day. It's only normal. How is this any different?

So you're saying the only reason you're not agreeing that smoking is all bad is because you want to SPICE UP the thread? If the thread is boring and one-sides, it's for a reason. You shouldn't need to change things to please people. A discussion should come naturally.
 
I smoke cigarettes
I prefer to smoke some good weed tho but When i'm all out Ill just Rule some cigs instead
 
I can tell you from observation, that a lot of people get addicted to cigarettes because of pot. I never liked it but a lot of the kids I hang/hung out with started smoking cigarettes after weed because it "boosts" your high.(Never really did much for me).

No I don't smoke cigarettes and I think its pretty nasty and pointless
 

I smoke weed and yeah all my friends that do always light up a cigarette after, I prefer to just drink Arizona Mango Iced Tea.. I remember reading that Mango boosts your high too =o

Anyways ya thats my theory on how at least 40% of todays youth start cigarettes

Holy shit Solidify I expected much better than this from seeing your posts. You can't justify a people just by your small world. You need to grow the Fuck up. Millions of people, including myself, smoke AWAY from people. Don't tell me i'm just like the guy at the railroad station who smokes in the middle of the crowded station or the grandma smoking while watching her grandkids.

Are you going to start bashing all Muslims because of 9/11? NO. Because you can't justify all Muslims as terrorists. YOU are doing the same thing. You were raised to think smoking is bad in every since, and i respect that. But don't try telling me i'm a bad person because I smoke. I've had a very stressful life and I found smoking as a great way to let off steam, without it i doubt i'd still be here.

And don't try justifying yourself by what other people do on the forum. I could give a fuck what other people do, we are talking about you.

I only normally use tobacco when I smoke weed
It does not "Boost" your high It just makes it burn longer so its more clear and shit
And when Im all out of weed I just make reg cigs for the mean while since yea
But I dont smoke cigs allot Just yea when i'm out of weed and I know ima be out for a few days then I might sneak a cig in or somthing


If you dont like tobacco Then use a bong
If you are smoking only weed in your joints your wasting that shit

Do you have any idea how hard it is for a cigarette to cause a forest, it's not even a flame, it's weak ember. Your not trying to inform us your trying to turn us and prove a point that smoking is apparently the right and only choice and we're stupid for doing that.

Smoking in elevators? In Australia you can't smoke inside by law, I thought that was just about everywhere else too.
Aidan isn't saying that's the only reason he's arguing, he's also arguing because he believes what he's saying, the same as I do.
You wanted this thread to be seen by everyone, good, you've pissed just about all the smokers off.

I can't take it anymore. My patience is nearing its end with the people on this forum. I always get into arguments with people over stupidity and one day I'm just going to pick up and leave. It's really bugging me. And it's not just you personally, it's been going on for a while now. Wale, WAR, etc. I just don't have the same perception as anyone on this forum and I think it'd be best if I left.

Well there is a common factor in every situation. I don't think you should leave, you just have to stop posting long threads that come out like your telling us what to do and how you feel. I honestly would not have minded if this was called "Effect of Smoking" and it was just pure knowledge. Nothing directed as smokers individually, I may have read it and not minded it, because it wasn't in my face.
