Do I have to buy onyx in order to buy power?

I noticed that power is only 2 more $ than onyx, so I'm thinking to myself that if im going to buy a upgrade, then I might as well just get power since it gives me more oriviledges and the price isn't too much higher.
 
You have to already have Onyx and Donator before you can buy Power.

The order of upgrades is:
-Onyx
Then you have to donate $10
-Power
Meet requirements of Power+
-Power+
 
Ight thanks for the replys, I really want my name to be blue but I guess it has to be black first
 
Well you can join a user group that gives you a blue username... and I don't think you have to be upgraded to join a user group.

Well I also want to be able to give rep to people who help me out, so yea I'm probably upgrading sometime tonight
