Have you noticed the ratings peoples mains get these days for their skills. I know you folks love to bot. But it dominates an accounts worth, opinions, and brings in judgement, etc. If a account in the older days had some of the stats the ones you guys post now, you wouldn't see a damn person saying "pretty bad, I can get that in a week."

So, I ask you, what do you think of accounts true worth, and are bots something that should not be mentioned in account ratings. Ie; "my bot got that in a day, you fail"

Discuss.
 
Ehh, it really doesn't matter that much, but it is a factor in some situations.
I don't believe it should dominate the account's cost because of other things like quests, bank etc.
It should only play a small role whether or not it was botted.

I think people should just shut the fuck up about THEIR bot and let people sell their account the way they want to regardless of how long someone elses' bot took to get a certain stat.

But that's my opinion, doesn't mean much but I'm giving my two cents.
 
I think it depends what bot they used and how safe they were. I use a great, expensive bot, and I only spend about 4 hours a day botting. I'd like to know if somoene is botting all on the account.
 
I agree for the most part. Aside from the "a factor is some situations". Imho, it is a factor in every situation.

Yeah you're right.
Looking at it now I don't see how it couldn't NOT be a factor.
 
But lets say that the person botted the account then didn't log into the account for 6 months. It had no bans no nothing. Would you care? I wouldn't
 
Indeed. Think of it as a precious ecosystem. And ecologist is examining the fluctuation of the system, and then a steam roller comes in and plows down half the fucking forest. There goes your functioning ecosystem, there goes about 5000 animals, limiting biodiversity in that area.

Now you are left with the steamrollers actions which change the way that place once worked before.

Basically, bots allow your otherwise hard earned levels to be obtained with ease. The worth of the RS accounts has just dropped a pinch. Multiply that by everyone botting.. oh jeezus. xD

Ya its kind of a dick move to mess up some1s sales thread saying " I could bot this in 3 days you nub Ill give you 10M for it."
 
^ true that. It especially becomes worse when you flaunt the fact that it is obtainable in much less worth of time and money then people are asking.

It's just how people try to "bargain" for the account.
Usually they just get an "STFU".
 
Not sure, but I'll bet it's the same person that 1 starred mine! RAAAAGEE.
 
I think anyone with a Runescape account should be able to post their stats, botting stats to 99 is still an achievement, sometimes it takes a full month just to get a single 99, that's dedication.
People should never ever say "I can get that in 72hrs" and stuff, that even annoys me when it's not my account it's related too.
If you don't bot it then state that, you'll still get the same rating but with a 'Good Job' or 'Good Effort' after it.
