After about 4 hours of research and help from the forum I came up with a build in my price range that should work for me. What do you guys think about it. is there anywhere in the build that is not up to par with the rest or can be downgraded. I only thing that i am worried about is the graphics card not performing to full potential due to the i5 instead of the i7 processor. I just want your opinion before i purchase these parts tomorrow.

CPU:Intel Core i5-4670K 3.4GHz Quad-Core
CPU Cooler:Corsair H100i 77.0 CFM Liqui
Motherboard:Asus Sabertooth Z87 ATX LGA1150
Memory:Corsair Dominator Platinum 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1866
SSD:Samsung 840 EVO 120GB 2.5
HDD:Seagate Barracuda 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM
Video Card:EVGA GeForce GTX 780 3GB Superclocked ACX
Case:NZXT H440 (White/Black) ATX Mid Tower
Power Supply:NZXT 850W ATX12V / EPS12V
Case Fan: NZXT FZ-120mm LED 59.1 CFM 120mm

Total Build Cost:$1705.98 Budget:$2000

All you're missing is a huge fan at the bottom to make your spaceship hover.

Your first mistake is going with i5, go up to i7 it seriously is worth it from my experience. Everything else will suffice for what I assume you will be using the computer for.

Yes, porn usually runs best on an i7
for this reason Philly, you, and I should be using i7's
thats just from personal experience though

The i7 is really needed its kinda of overkill the i5 will preform just fine. Yeah the experience will be better but to keep my budget i prefer the i5. After overclocking it would preform almost as good.

I wouldn't even overclock anything, no need.

Everything looks good. There is no need for the i7 if you plan on gaming. It pairs nice with the graphics card, and you should be able to run most to all games on ultra. Plus, if you prefer to mod some games (i.e Skyrim, LFD2, etc.) you should be able to run multiple mods still on highest graphic settings. If you are an extreme modder I'd recommend new graphics card plus new processor. Otherwise, everything looks good. The above advice for i7 is not recommended unless you plan to mod. If so shoot me a private message, and I'll help you revamp your build.

Actually you are a bit wrong there. If he is streaming a game, then the i7 is what he is wanting, but regular gaming and just browsing the internet, the i5 is good for. The i5 is practically the i7, but the i7 has more processing power, which makes it better for multi-tasking.

If I was going to upgrade to an i7 what would you recommend

4770k, or wait til the refresh models come out (if they sort out thermal issues) but i'd only wait if you're overclocking

I'd recommend the 4770k, just like Heaven metioned. This would only be needed if you do plan on doing some heavy modding/programming. I wouldn't waste your money otherwise, but if you want to spend it just so you have it that's up to you. It may come in handy in the future.

i7 is unnecessary though, unless you are streaming, video editing, rendering etc.
Very few games support hyperthreading so you'd be look at a 0-4/5 fps gain from i5 4670k to i7 4770k (depending on the game)
if you're just gaming then pump more money into GPU and stick with i5
