Crews

Hello RuneGear, I think Rune Gear should have a crews system.

What is a crew?

It's a user created(With The Elite's permission) group where other members may join upon request.

It will have a usergroup badge like the RG Elite, Manager, Staff groups; all of that.. but its for a crew.


Alot of you know what this is, so.. would it be a good idea to have it on Rune Gear?

(It wouldn't be 100 random crews created by random users)

I do, maybe a social crew. Where members can get to know other members.

For a starters crew, I would say "Auth Dumpers" .. maybe not a good idea, but that's just an example.

The users in the Auth Dumpers crew would have to dump auths atleast every 2-3 days or so..

I second this, although you don't really need a crew to talk to others that don't play runescape; just hang out in the non-runescape sections.

There are many other reasons for crews.

There was a crew section before but it was named "Groups" section.
Not many people were interested and it just went to waist.
If you get one group going with a fair amount of people in it, I think only then should there be another group and so forth.
I don't know if it's the best atm but may get better if we had 20+ active members online.

For the current population of RuneGear, 20+ members would not be such a good idea..

It should be around 5 for now.

And just because there wasn't as many crews before, doesn't mean it has to shu down :tongue2:

I'm sure this will be an interesting addition to Rune Gear if it is added.

There were plenty of crews beforehand, they just weren't popular.
I support, because I wan't it back; Just don't expect many members atm. Try to get 5 supporters for your group, then make it and add them.

Also, if we can show more than one userbar, that would be great.

Possibly a console-gaming crew? Skilling crew for RS?

I support this, but one thing that must be pushed on the Crew leader if this is passed, is to stay active.

You can push all you want but you can't bend people against their will. Crews always start out strong and then go soft.
