I know it depends on the artist/band, but feel free to post some videos.

No dubstep, please. People consider remixes as covers.

I'm not a big fan of this type of music (rock right?). But i listened to both and for this one I'll disagree with you. But occasionally I do like covers. The remake of La bamba in the Ritchie Valens movie was just great.
