Comments on Robots

I'm just sitting here doing a assignment I missed on my vacation. And it happens to be on robots, I was just kinda wondering what you guys thing about them. And what one do you like?

I'm doing my project on Industrials Robots.. Just started learning about then when I was searching through the details.. I was never really looked that much into them. But they seem pretty cool.

The only robots I respect are the ones that make high-end cars such as Ferrari. Robots will never be like humans, they should just stop investing in robot research and focus on humane issues. We should becareful and not let robots take over the workforce.

Well I see where your coming from Roobik but no matter what there are always going to be a job market out there.. But robots do repalce peoples job but it also makes younger generations fun jobs to look forward to. Take for example building the robot.. And investing the money to build the robots are only helping the human issues(If your referring to stock and money issues)

But yes Roobik good thoughts but I think they should keep investing time and money into these..

Another way to look at it is if there were no robots we wouldn't know hardly anything about space which my might be critical in the upcoming years.

now that you brought space into this you have to be referring to specific robots - there are different types. I accept the investment in space exploration but I decline to have us invest in though Japanese robots that are looking more and more human like. What's the point if spending 50mill teaching a piece if junk how to show emotion? It's pointless, it's an entertainment budget that should be left until he first fix human issues. Also, don't forget about those medical robots that assist in surgeries - I very much support those. Like I said, you can't put all types of robots under one umbrella (in this case being "robots").

OH ya I was referring to any type of robots I was just saying what kind of robots I was doing my research on... Ya today we had some powerpoints on medical robots and some of those looked wicked. In both ways looks and price tag.... I mean some of the robots up in space are worth over $10 million dollars. Just amazing.

Any robot that can help us is wicked, but those human like robots surve no purpose that's why their pointless.

Oh ya those ones, ya those really aren't those big of a deal now days. They are still looking into them, but not really needed as you said. But does give people jobs right now and thats a big deal. I totally forgot about those.. Those human robots are mainly used for cleaning up around the house though LOL

I wanted to have one robot to make me all the works who have at home. It would be nice and too useful. :smile:

Ya but all that help comes with a big price tag costing at least $100,000 or more I bet. They are wasting there time on human robots until they find out a way to make the price cheaper.
