I mean how is this different from eating cows or other live stock? I do understand that people taking and stealing these domesticated animals from their home and desecrating them is completely absurd but in their culture eating them is normal.

I don't think boiling a live dog, chained attached to the car being dragged, and torturing is normal. At least put the dog to painless death than have it endure extreme pain.
