I am the CMO of a fairly new company, android app company that is, and I am in need of some guidance on strategies, tools, tricks etc that would benefit me in my job.

I was wondering, what tools what a CMO need to be able to do his job? Tools both physically, as in computers, and in the software area, which I have no examples for.

Does anyone know of any good resources that I could read up on about marketing, running of a company, etc. I am basically the business side of my company, and any information would help.

So if you know of anything, please post it!! I would love to hear about it.

Legit suggestion;

Spend more time on the business and not on a Runescape based fan-forum.

Were not busy right now. If anyone has suggestions NOT like Crysis's, please post them, otherwise, gtfo please.

Are you having my life? Sorry but this is so un-realistic it's un-real.

CMOs are the side-kick of the CEOs, what you going to say? "Uh Boss, I don't think we're going to be doin' well this week, uh, sorry." Of course not!

You have responsibility for areas such as sales management, product development, distribution channel management, marketing communications (including advertising and promotions), pricing, market research, and customer service. CMOs are face-to-face with a diverse range of specialised subjects in which you are supposed to be knowledgeable...

I find your post much more helpful that all the bullshit Crysis replies with.

You are in the same position Jonathan? Awesome!! I knew my responsibilities were vast, I just haven't put a lot of thought into exactly all that you said.

I don't want to disclose my age in a post, but I will say I am not the legal age to be an adult

If you're not 18 then you're not the CMO and you don't have a job.

You can only be a CMO if you're actually employed by a company and are of legal age, else it's child labour, so GF company.

You can call yourself CMO, but well, really, you're not.

I am a CMO. The US government supports young entrepreneurship, but that is besides the point.

Thanks for your real reply Jonathan.

I will PM you my skype.

Does anyone have any advice? I would love to hear it!
