Say you change the windows live ID of a gamertag.

The gamertag is on a EU hotmail/account, when you switch the gamertag, if you put it on a new US hotmail/account, it makes the account US instead of EU right?

You cannot switch the region of the account, unfortunately due to legal constraints of some sort you would need to call xbox escalate and hope they will migrate the account for you

Agreed its not possible you can try ringing up see what they can do.
 
I don't like how they operate this system. A friend of mine moved back to Australia from New Zealand and they would not migrate his account, he had to start all over again and stopped using his 6 year, 60,000 GS+ NZ account.
 
Why would he need to start over? just buy MSP on a website
 
Sorry to bump but I have a method to remove all region restrictions on any Xbox Code HMU
