Change the user who made a topic/posts? MyBB?

Well, I had a friend merge a database to a new forum, and the posts got all mixed up, how can I edit who posted what on a thread? Like say I posted something, but a different user shows up, how would I change it so it's me who said it again without deleting the post?
 
Merge the user into your account?

Or if you have not already recount and rebuild all stats in your admin cp.

I can't merge the user, he's an active user
 
Do the second thing? That should work did you mess with the user ID's in phpmyadmin?

Not sure what u mean by the second one, and no, he just imported the database
 
do the second thing then. IN your Admin CP go to tools and maintenance then recount and rebuild and do it for all the things listed there.
 
go to mybb.com ask there because i think he kinda replaced your User ID in phpmyadmin you was suppose to merge DB not import them. Do you have a back-up before the import? If so restore it then merge the new DB with it more details can be found at MyBB.com

I can't merge it, the user is active and has a decent amount of posts
