Champions Realm
Click here to check us outChampions Realm is a Runescape Private Server that is currently in development. I thought I would start posting and telling everyone about it so we can get some suggestions and feedback on what needs to be added. The aim of the server is to bring something different and not in a way of tacky additions. I mean in the way of website features and game features. The goal of the server is to learn and have fun. We will not be selling items because I personally feel it is wrong to do if you are doing something for the fun of it and for people to enjoy.
The way this server will stay online is having a donation which will be completely open to everyone. Every time someone donates it will show on a page which will update on our incoming and outgoings. You will see what we spend our money on and see we are using your money to better the server! Donation obviously will be rewarded with points which you will be able to spend in a shop for non-trade able items and get a title in game showing you support the server. We do have funs already from our own pockets meaning the server will be hosted on a 100mbps dedicated server.
Currently we see so many servers that are just hosted on VBulletin forums with barely any features and our goal is to change this. We are using a lightweight forum software named Fluxbb. The website will be full of features such as Highscores, registering characters on the website, npc database lists so you can see what they drop. Java socket communication from the website to the game meaning if you receive a pm on the website it will update to show you have a PM in game like how Jagex does it. The server has already been converted to using SQL instead of plain text files. This will help with security of the players which we will protect. The usernames will be done in SHA 256 so if there was ever an indecent of the server getting hacked passwords would not be able to get decrypted.

General notes

This is not your standard washed up RS2 server. You cannot teleport anywhere you please with the click of a button, and because of this the XP rate is 10X. The max level is 120 for every skill. With the 10x XP rate, it makes it semi-easy for people to get 99, but those that are VERY dedicated can go even higher.

Also we have completed Character Registration via the website and the game server now reads SQL. Passwords are encrypted with 256 SHA and salt. Not many servers if any has this.

These will be connected to you forum account in which we will add highscores and awards for the forum accounts. Say you get 1500 skill total it will auto add an award to your forum account. This will be added in the future but the functionality has been added ready for it!
